Distributed Base Station System and Method for Networking thereof and Base Band Unit

The present invention discloses a distributed base station system as well as its networking method and base band unit. In this system, the base band unit (BBU) and RF unit (RFU) of the base station are separated, and the RFU is equipped with base band RF interfaces for interconnecting the BBU and transmitting data information, thereby forming the base station. Based on the separation of the BBU from the RFU, the BBU capacity is further divided at the same time, and every unit is also arranged independently. The BBU networking and capacity expansion may be achieved with capacity expansion interfaces and base band RF interfaces provided by BBU interface units in flexible and convenient ways.

Impure aromatic carboxylic acids such as are obtained by liquid phase oxidation of feed materials comprising aromatic compounds with substituent groups oxidizable to carboxylic acid groups, or comprising aromatic carboxylic acid and one or more aromatic carbonyl impurities that form hydrogenated species more soluble in aqueous solvents or with less color or color-forming tendencies than the aromatic carbonyl impurity, are purified to an aromatic carboxylic acid product with lower levels of impurities by a process comprising contacting an aqueous solution comprising the impure aromatic carboxylic acid with hydrogen at elevated temperature and pressure with an attrition-resistance, acid stable catalyst composition comprising at least one hydrogenation catalyst metal and a support comprising relatively high surface area silicon carbide.

System and method for training human subjects to improve off-axis neuromuscular control of the lower limbs

InactiveUS20100145233A1Improve neuromuscular controlEffective trainingPerson identificationSensorsNeuromuscular controlRisk factor
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the most commonly injured knee ligament in sports-related activities, especially in pivoting sports. Considering that the knee is free to flex / extend but has much more limited motions about the off-axis (tibia rotation and valgus / varus), ACL injuries are often associated with excessive off-axis loadings. A pivoting / sliding mechanism combined with sagittal plane movement / exercise is described as a diagnostic tool to evaluate off-axis neuromechanical and anatomical risk factors of noncontact ACL injuries. The pivoting / sliding mechanism is also described as an intervention tool for off-axis training, possibly based on the diagnosis, to reduce the incidence of ACL injuries. Training outcome can also be evaluated using the pivoting / sliding mechanism. In general, the pivoting / sliding mechanism can be used with many sagittal plane exercise machines and used to improve off-axis control of the lower limbs and reduce lower limb injuries.

The present invention provides a ball engagement device for use with a ball launching device, comprising a housing having first and second ends, an opening for accepting balls and a ball chamber adjacent to the opening. The device further includes a motor coupled to the housing and a pinion connected to and driven by the motor. The pinion drives a rack that has a ball engagement end, wherein the rack is slideably disposed along an interior portion of the housing. The device also includes a first switch disposed in the housing and that is operably configured to activate the motor to rotate the pinion in a first direction, the first switch is activatable by the presence of a ball in the ball chamber, a second switch disposed in the housing operably configured to rotate the pinion in an opposing second direction, a third switch disposed in the housing at a predetermined distance from the second switch and operably configured to deactivate the motor and a switch activation member disposed along the rack. Upon activation of the first switch, the motor rotates the pinion in the first direction causing the rack to push the ball out of the first end of the housing, the switch activation member travels with the housing until the activation member activates the second switch which then reverses the direction of the pinion in a second direction causing the movement of the rack towards the second end of the housing until the switch activation member strikes the third switch and turns the motor off. This invention further provides a hopper for use with the ball engagement device.

Absorptive heat pump systems and heating method

The present invention relates to an absorptive heat pump circulation systems and heating method. According to the present invention, an absorption heat pump circulation system comprises: a generator, equipped with a heat exchanger; an evaporator, equipped with a driving heat source; an absorber, equipped with a heat exchanger; and an absorbent crystallizer. An absorption solution entrance of the crystallizer is connected to an absorption solution exit of the absorber and a crystallized absorption solution exit of the crystallizer is connected to an absorption solution entrance of the generator, and a crystal output of the crystallizer is connected to an absorption solution Entrance of the absorber; The heat exchanger of the generator and the heat exchanger of the absorber are connected to form a thermal cycling loop, which transfers the absorption heat generated by the absorber to the generator. Since the absorbent crystallizer is provided, and the heat generated by the absorber is provided to the generator directly through the thermal cycling loop, then the external driving heat source required by the generator in the traditional absorption heating circulation system is essentially saved, so that the coefficient of performance is significantly improved. The present invention extensively applies to the utilization of excess heat at a low temperature as well as energy-saving and emission-reducing in the fields such as chemical industry, food industry, sewage treatment, sea water desalination and so on.

Football Throwing System and Method of Operation

InactiveUS20140305420A1Readily fabricateCommensurate with durabilityGymnastic exercisingWeapons typesDisplay deviceVisual perception
Described is an automated football throwing system and method of operation thereof. The system comprises a route input system, a launch controller, and a football throwing device. In operation, a user inputs the route desired to be executed. The processor accesses a visual illustration of the route from the storage media and displays the visual illustration on a display. Additionally, the data retrieval system accesses data regarding the launch variables which may include the lateral orientation, angle of elevation, and output speed corresponding to a selected route. The launch controller adjusts the football throwing device in accordance with the launch variables for the specific route. The football throwing device comprises a pair of coacting wheels adapted to propel a football and separated by a space in which a football may be inserted. A loading mechanism moves a football received from a storage receptacle into the space between the coacting wheels.
