The synthesis and characterization of novel multi-arm, polyisobutylene-based star-block polymers comprising a plurality of polyisobutylene-containing, diblock arms radiating from a siloxane core are described. The synthesis has been achieved by cationically polymerizing a monomer, such as styrene, and isobutylene to form diblock prearms and then hydrosilating the unsaturation-functionalized polyisobutylene with siloxanes carrying a plurality of Si-H groups via hydrosilation. The resultant star-block polymers may be thermoplastic elastomers characterized as having superior tensile strength and processing properties as compared to linear triblock polymers of similar hard / soft segments.

A water soluble polymer is provided having two or more oligomers linked to each other by hydrolytically degradable carbonate linkages. The polymer can be hydrolytically degraded into oligomers (e.g., oligomers of ethylene oxide) under physiological conditions. The polymer can be conjugated to biologically active agents such as proteins or peptides to impart improved water solubility, reduced immunogenicity, reduced rate of renal clearance, and increased stability. The polymer is useful in making hydrolytically degradable hydrogels which can be used in drug delivery and related biomedical applications. On example of the polymer is a poly (ether carbonate) of the formula X—O—[(—CH2CH2—O—)n—CO2—]n—(CH2CH2))n-y where X and Y are independently H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or a reactive moiety, and at least one of X and Y is a reactive moiety.

The invention discloses a preparation method for a water-repellent oil-repellent superhydrophobic fabric surface. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) weighing a cotton fabric, and preparing a cotton-cellulose macromolecular initiating agent under the action of the initiating agent and a catalyst; (2) grafting monomeric GMA on the prepared cotton-cellulose macromolecular initiating agent, vacuumizing a reaction system and introducing nitrogen, so as to obtain cotton cellulose grafted by the GMA, soaking the cotton cellulose grafted by the GMA in an acid solution, and hydrolyzing epoxy groups to form a cellulose surface rich in hydroxyl groups; and (3) performing acylation reaction between the cotton cellulose grafted by the GMA on the cellulose surface rich in hydroxyl groups and a monomer with low surface energy to obtain the water-repellent oil-repellent superhydrophobic surface. The preparation method is mild in reaction condition, simple, and easy to operate, can be realized at room temperature, and can guarantee the good superhydrophobicity and oil resistance without influencing of the comfort and the mechanical property of the cotton fabric.

Method for identifying molecular weight of a phosphoric acid monoester compound and an additive for mass spectrometry

The present invention provides a method for confirming existence of a phosphoric acid monoester compound (peptide, saccharine and the like) and easily identifying the molecular weight thereof even among biological samples including a plurality of compounds, and an additive for a mass spectrometry used for the method. In the method according to the present invention, a complex compound exhibiting extremely high coordination ability to a phosphoric acid monoester group and configured of single kind of zinc isotopes is used to obtain a plurality of mass spectrum data, and then the data are compared.
