The invention relates to a long glass fiber reinforced PP (polypropylene) pedal for a commercial vehicle. The long glass fiber reinforced PP pedal is characterized in that a particular method includes: (1), glass fiber zero-twisted roving is adopted, glass fibers pass through a mold head capable of being soaked in thermoplastic plastics by the aid of traction equipment, the temperature of the mold head ranges from 200 DEG C to 230 DEG C, the back pressure of the mold head ranges from 0.5MPa to 2MPa, the zero-twisted roving is forcedly scattered in the mold head, and is soaked in melted resin, accordingly, each fiber is sufficiently covered by the resin, and the fibers are cut into longer granules with lengths ranging from 10mm to 25mm to be reserved after being cooled; and (2), the pedal is designed into a structure by the aid of CAE (computer aided engineering) analysis and MFlow analysis, the peripheral edge of the structure is thickened, a U-shaped groove is arranged in the middle of the structure, rigid straight edges of the structure are crossed, and the granules are filled in a mold so that the pedal is processed. The long glass fiber reinforced PP pedal has fine impact resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent low-temperature performances, is lighter in weight (lighter than an aluminum pedal by 40% at least) and low in cost (lower than the aluminum pedal by 20%), meets requirements of environment protection laws and regulations on automobiles (a product can be recycled), is high in production efficiency, can be applied onto automobiles in various types, and has extremely wide application prospect.
