The detection method includes the steps that 100 g of crude oil samples are weighed and placed into the distillation flask; secondly, the distillation flask containing the crude oil samples is heated, the distillation temperature of the crude oil samples is accurately measured through the temperature tester, and the mass of distilled substances is continuously weighed through the electronic scale; thirdly, temperature which is continuously measured by the temperature tester and data of continuous weighing, performed by the electronic scale, of the distilled substances are calculated and processed, and an analysis data result of the distillation range of crude oil is obtained. According to the device and technological method for detecting the distillation range of crude oil through the mass method, the distillation range of crude oil is analyzed in the mode that the crude oil samples and the distilled substances are weighed through the mass method, and therefore analysis of the distillation range of crude oil can be more accurate and faster.
