Wide area gaming and retail player tracking

Systems and methods for tracking, differentiating and awarding loyalty credits to patrons of a gaming establishment are disclosed. Tracking can be facilitated by and loyalty credits can be stored on patron issued loyalty credit instruments such as printed tickets, magnetic-striped cards, room keys, portable wireless devices and smart cards. Loyalty credits can be awarded for and combined with other loyalty credits awarded for gaming activities involving wagers, game play, and possible monetary awards, as well as purchasing activities involving the procurement of food, lodging, entertainment, transportation, merchandise or services. Theoretical all expenditures profiles can be established for patrons based upon the gaming activities and purchasing activities of the patrons. Customized comps can be awarded on the initiative of the gaming establishment and without any specific request from a patron. Such comps can be based on tracked information on gaming activities and purchasing activities of the patrons.

Dentifrices incorporating spherical particles for enhanced cleaning of teeth

Toothpaste and other dentifrices formulated to include substantially spherical cleaning particles for enhanced plaque-removal capability. The cleaning particles are relatively large, having a diameter in a range from about 10 microns to about 200 microns, and are substantially round-edge and nonjagged so as to be far less abrasive compared to conventional abrasive particles, which tend to have a more jagged profile. Preferred cleaning particles include hollow glass spheres, which not only provide enhanced plaque-removal properties but which yield dental compositions having greatly reduced density. Air and other gases may optionally be entrained into the inventive dental compositions, either during manufacture or upon dispensing the dental compositions onto a toothbrush.

Method for Manufacturing Tube and Fin Heat Exchanger with Reduced Tube Diameter and Optimized Fin Produced Thereby

An improved method for manufacturing tube and fin heat exchangers that, according to a preferred embodiment, includes a process for increasing the stiffness and rigidity of heat exchanger fins. Stiffer fins have a greater tendency to maintain proper alignment within a stack of fins, which aids in lacing long stacks of fins with small (e.g., 5 mm) diameter tubing. Preferably, fin stiffness is increased by forming a plurality of longitudinal ribs within the fin during the fin stamping process. More preferably still, two ribs for each longitudinal row of collared holes are provided. The preferred embodiment also includes a slotted heat exchanger fin that is dimensioned and arranged for optimized thermodynamic performance when used with small diameter tubing, thus reducing the space required for a given heat exchanger system.

All-metal thread locking/prevailing torque threaded fastener

This invention provides a fastener system having an external thread cross section profile that includes a novel asymmetrical thread addendum that does not have the disadvantage of centralizing the external bolt thread in the internal nut thread cavity. By overcoming the disadvantages of prior art symmetrical thread profile, there will be seen a more useful and efficient use of the forces applied during the application of the externally threaded fastener, toward thread locking and improved resistance to loosening from outside influences such as assembly vibrations and the like. In an illustrative embodiment the addendum extends radially outward from the leading and trailing face profile of the external thread. It can be defined an associated addendum leading edge and trailing edge that are each approximately linear. The trailing face can have a radius profile in one embodiment. In further embodiments, the leading face can also be radiused.

Brush and method for car wash

A brush for a car wash has radial arrays of fingers cut from flat sheets of closed cell foam. The finger arrays are stacked atop each other with interposed spacer discs, bonded together to form sections of the brush. A top brush has a center section core formed by the spacer discs of a larger diameter than two smaller core diameter ends to provide a larger diameter center section core caused to roll when encountering a vehicle surface to pass over the some without damage, and smaller core diameter end sections able to accommodate antennas with less bending. The fingers of the scrubbing section of the brush are short, no longer than and are held sufficiently stiffly to support the brush on the side rails of pickup cargo beds at a high enough height as to avoid finger contact with the cargo bed bottom surfaces.

Method and device for electronically controlling a vehicle deceleration in an abs braking system

ActiveUS20180072290A1Increase brake pressureCalm down the course of decelerationApplication and release valvesAutomotive engineeringBrake pressure
A method for controlling a vehicle deceleration in a vehicle comprising an ABS braking system includes detecting a setpoint vehicle deceleration predetermined by a driver; establishing a maximum deceleration and a minimum deceleration, in each case as a function of the detected setpoint vehicle deceleration; detecting an actual vehicle deceleration; and controlling a brake pressure at wheel brakes of a vehicle axle to be controlled as a function of the detected actual vehicle deceleration by controlling ABS brake valves. Controlling the brake pressure at the wheel brakes of the vehicle axle as a function of the detected actual vehicle deceleration comprises: increasing the brake pressure at the wheel brakes when the actual vehicle deceleration is less than the minimum deceleration, and limiting the brake pressure at the wheel brakes when the actual vehicle deceleration is greater than the maximum deceleration.

Alkylbenzene detergents with high 2-isomer content

This invention is directed to a fluorine-containing mordenite catalyst and use thereof in the manufacture of alkylbenzene (LAB) by alkylation of benzene with an olefin. The olefin may have from about 10 to 14 carbons. The fluorine-containing mordenite is prepared typically by treatment with an aqueous hydrogen fluoride solution. The benzene alkylation may be conducted using reactive distillation. This invention is also directed to a process for production of LAB having a high 2-phenyl isomer content by use of the fluorine-containing mordenite in conjunction with a conventional solid LAB alkylation catalyst. The two catalysts may be used in a mixed catalyst bed or may be packed in series, with the relative proportions being adjusted to provide a desired 2-phenyl isomer content of in the final product.
