An oversampled filter bank structure that can be implemented using popular and efficient fast filter banks to allow subband processing of an input signal with substantially reduced aliasing between subbands. Even subbands (SB0, SB2, SB4, . . . ) of an input signal (x(n)) are frequency-shifted (212, 1012, 1012′, 1012″) prior to analysis filtering (214, 214′, 214″) at a 2× oversampled filter bank, subband processing (240, 240′, 240″), and synthesis filtering (216, 216′, 216″). A subsequent frequency-shift (218, 218′) returns the even subbands to their original band positions. The odd subbands (SB1, SB3, SB5, . . . ) are delayed (252) to compensate for the processing time of the frequency shifting. Separate analysis (214, 214′) and synthesis (216, 216′) filter banks may be provided for the even and odd subbands, or common complex analysis (284) and synthesis (286) filter banks may be used. The concentration of a reducing agent in an electroless bath for plating a first metal is determined from the effect of the reducing agent on the electrodeposition rate of a second metal. For electroless cobalt and nickel baths, a sample of the electroless plating bath is added to an acid copper plating solution and the copper electrodeposition rate is measured by cyclic voltammetric stripping (CVS) analysis. Separate analyses for hypophosphite and dimethylamineborane in baths employing both reducing agents are attained via selective decomposition of the dimethylamineborane in acidic solution.

An arrangement and method for analysing the data transferred in communications networks. The fact that though the amount of user plane traffic and data is increasing fast, the amount of signalling traffic is hardly increasing at all, is utilised. In the present system the analysis of the user plane and the control plane is done separately in user plane analysis appliance (206) and protocol analyser (204). The separate analysis results are then combined by certain criteria and the combined data is shown. An at least nearly real-time network data analysis is possible also in the networks with high speed traffic.

Determination of depth moveout and of residual radii of curvature in the common angle domain

A method is disclosed for processing seismic data. The method includes prestack depth migrating seismic measurements to compute common angle domain image gathers with an initial depth model. Residual moveout analysis is performed in the common angle domain, moveout corrections are derived in terms of the residual radii of curvature at zero reflection angle. Corrections for larger reflection angles are obtained from separate analyses for the coefficients of suitable series expansions. The residual radii of curvature at zero reflection angle can be used to improve the signal to noise ratio of the migrated data and to assess or improve the velocity model used for the prestack depth migration.

The method of the invention solves the problem of difficult separate analysis and quantitative evaluation due to multiple error sources which are coupled in visual positioning of the circular target, and can provide important support for selection and utilization of characteristics of the circular target in design of a monocular vision measurement system.
