Firstly, a combustion model of a fuel ignition process of the water ramjet is established, the contradictions that a traditional solid fuel burning rate model (a Vieri formula) needs to fit undetermined parameters through a test result and a test of the water ramjet with high metal content needs to be conducted on the premise of grasping the fuel burning rate are overcome, and the method can be used for determining an estimated value of the thermodynamic equilibrium temperature of the fuel burning surface and an approximate range of reasonable water inlet amount design. By combining with a water reaction metal fuel ignition powder combustion model, the mass, momentum and energy transport quantity of fuels and ignition powder to a flow field are converted into source items close to grids of a first layer of the burning surface and grids of a covering area of the ignition powder, gas / solid / liquid multiphase coupling calculation in the flow field of the ramjet is achieved, the temperature distribution ofthe burning surface of the fuels in an ignition process can be obtained, correspondingly the burning rate of the ramjet is predicted, and the ignition and working state of the ramjet is determined.
