Adaptive display controller

A multi-function display controller that includes a source detector unit for determining if the source of an input stream is either film originated source originated or video source originated. A source converter unit for converting the input image stream to a common signal processing format is coupled to the source detector unit. Once converted to the common signal processing format, a determination is made if the input image stream is interlaced or non-interlaced (progressive scan). If the input image stream is interlaced, a de-interlace unit converts the interlaced signal to progressive scan using either motion adaptive or motion compensated de-interlacing techniques. It should be noted that in the described embodiment, motion vectors generated for use by the motion compensated de-interlace can be optionally stored in a memory unit for use in subsequent operations, such as motion compensated frame rate conversion or noise reduction (if any).

System and method for defective detector cell and DAS channel correction

A method and system for an improved data acquisition system with an image detector array and an image processing system which finds a malfunctioning cell, interpolates a signal for the malfunctioning cell using neighboring channels of the cell, and corrects the interpolation with an error rate found in performing interpolations on neighboring rows with cells which are not malfunctioning. Device for imaging radiation

An imaging device for radiation imaging is an array of image cells. The array of image cells consists of an array of detector cells and an array of image cell circuits. Each detector cell is connected to the corresponding cell in the array of image cell circuits. Each individual cell in the detector cell array generates a charge based on the radiation that hits the cell. Each cell in the array of image cell circuits accumulates the charge on a storage capacitor. The storage capacitor can be, for example, the gate of a transistor. Single cells in the array of image cells can be grouped together to form larger area super cells. The size of the super cell can be controlled by control signals, which select the operating mode. The output from a cell, a single cell or a super cell, is read out in current mode and is scaled according to the size of the cell. Several modes can be implemented in the imaging device. Also, an imaging system for larger area radiation imaging can be implemented by connecting several imaging devices together in form of a two-dimensional array. The array of cell circuits comprises separate enable signals for selecting individual rows and columns and output signals indicating an end of row and an end of column.

Resonant switching power supply device

A winding voltage arising in a first winding on the primary side of a transformer is detected in a winding voltage detector unit formed of a second winding, and current flowing through a resonant circuit is detected in a resonant current detector unit formed of an auxiliary capacitor and a resistor. The timing at which the polarity of the detected winding voltage is inverted is detected in a control and drive unit, and the time at which the polarity of the resonant current, whose phase is delayed with respect to that of the winding voltage, will be inverted is determined in advance. In the event that there is a switch in an on-state when the timing immediately before the inversion of the polarity of the resonant current is detected from the output of the resonant current detector unit, the control and drive unit forcibly turns off the switch.
