Image forming apparatus, control method thereof, storage medium, and cartridge

This image forming apparatus determines, in accordance with state information indicating the state of the image forming apparatus, whether or not a timing for executing an authentication process of a removable cartridge has arrived. Furthermore, if the timing for executing a cartridge authentication process has arrived, this image forming apparatus obtains authentication information regarding authentication from the cartridge, and determines, from the authentication information, whether or not an authentication process is required to be executed. When an authentication process has been executed, an authentication result is written in a storage area of the cartridge.

Low false-alarm dual-Gm-APD detector photon counting laser radar

The invention discloses a low false-alarm dual-Gm-APD detector photon counting laser radar, and relates to the technical field of laser radars. The invention solves a problem that a conventional Gm-APD detector is liable to be triggered by noises to generate false alarm and affect the normal operation. A light splitter can enable an echo laser signal to be divided into two signals, wherein each signal is detected by one Gm-APD single-photon detector. An AND judgment gate compares the triggering time of the two Gm-APD single-photon detectors in real time. If the two Gm-APD single-photon detectors are triggered at the same moment, the AND judgment gate outputs '1', a timing module stops working, noises do not have temporal correlation, and the two Gm-APD single-photon detectors cannot be triggered at the same time. The AND judgment gate outputs '0', the timing module does not make any operation, thereby inhibiting the noises, and generating no false alarm. The laser radar is suitable for laser radar range finding and laser imaging.

[PROBLEMS] By accurately determining timing for suppressing overrun in a hydraulic motor or the like, work efficiency is prevented from falling. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A pressure difference ΔP between pressure Pa on a discharge port 1a side of a hydraulic pump 1 and pressure Pb on a suction port 1b side of the hydraulic pump 1 is calculated on the basis of the detected travel direction of the vehicle and the pressures Pa, Pb detected at the respective port 1a, 1b sides of the hydraulic pump 1. At least one of an engine 4 and the hydraulic pump 1 is controlled, according to the calculated pressure difference, such that overrun of at least one of the engine 4, the hydraulic pump 1, and a hydraulic motor 2 is suppressed.

Signal transmitting system

Semiconductor integrated circuit devices that operate under different power supply voltages are directly interconnected by a bidirectional bus which is a transmission line. A driver is of a push-pull type and a reception side is CTT-terminated. If a terminating resistor is in conformity with the characteristic impedance of the transmission line, the on resistance of the driver is equal to or lower than the characteristic impedance. If the on resistance of the driver is in conformity with the characteristic impedance of the transmission line, the value of the terminating resistor is equal to or lower than the characteristic impedance of the transmission line. If the reception side is VTT-terminated, the value of the VTT is ½ of a lower one of power supply voltages that are supplied to the respective semiconductor integrated circuit devices. The value of the terminating resistor is in conformity with the characteristic impedance of the transmission line. The semiconductor integrated circuit devices use a common reference voltage for determining the signal voltage.

Handoff method for communication system using multiple wireless resources

In a wireless communications system operating according to CDMA or the like, when one terminal simultaneously performs communication using multiple wireless resources (e.g., multiple carriers), there was a problem that when it was attempted to guarantee network mobility by the same soft handoff system as in the case where communication was performed using only one wireless resource, efficiency suffered from the viewpoint of network forwarding load, processing load and wireless resource occupancy time. Soft handoff termination is judged and soft handoff is forcibly terminated according to whether or not the data rate obtained for all resources on the network side satisfies a requested rate, based on a reception state notification from a terminal concerning wireless resources. By performing this processing, the soft handoff period is shortened, sufficient received strength in the terminal is maintained and terminal mobility is guaranteed, while at the same time network forwarding load, terminal processing load and wireless resource occupancy time are suppressed to the absolute minimum.

Time-of-flight analyzer

In order to provide a time of flight analyzer in which the timings of the ion generation and the ion signal recorder are synchronized, and the peak center position can be determined at high accuracy with fewer measurements, the time of flight analyzer of the present invention includes an ion source and an ion signal recorder working on an internal clock, wherein the ion signal recorder generates a trigger signal in synchronism with the internal clock in order to generate ions in the ion source. Since the timing of accelerating ions in the ion source and the timing of digital sampling and recording of the ion signal, which is detected in the ion detector, in the ion signal recorder are synchronized, the timing error occurred in conventional methods can be suppressed.

This invention provides a driving assistance system for a vehicle, with which an intersection having poor visibility can be detected with a high degree of precision and a driver can be alerted thereto while suppressing cost and time requirements. A sample determination unit identifies an image captured by a front camera as detection subject sample data relating to an intersection having poor visibility when the detection subject is detected by a stereo camera, a distance calculation unit, and a first object detection unit but the detection subject is not detected in a position of the detected detection subject by the front camera and a second object detection unit, and identifies the image captured by the front camera as non-detection subject sample data when the detection subject is detected in the position of the detected detection subject by the front camera and the second object detection unit.
