The invention aims to provide a W-type ferrite absorbent for
millimeter waves, namely the absorbent used for the
frequency band from 26.5GHz to 40GHz. The preparation raw materials of the absorbent are BaCO3, Co2O3, ZnO and Fe2O3; the traditional
solid phase reaction method is used in the invention, the main steps are dosing, ball-milling, pre-burning, crushing and
sintering, so as to prepare the W-type ferrite absorbent. The W-type ferrite absorbent prepared by the invention has the advantages of high magnetic
conductivity, high magnetic loss, lower
dielectric constant and the like on the
frequency band from 26.5GHz to 40GHz, and the disadvantages of
metal soft magnetic material absorbents and common ferrite absorbents are overcome, therefore, the formed ferrite has excellent wave absorbing property; compared with the M-type ferrite absorbent, both Co2O3 and ZnO in the preparation raw materials are cheaper and more available than CoO and TiO2, and furthermore, the Co replacement amount is low and the
sintering temperature is reduced, therefore, the cost is reduced effectively, and the wave absorbing property is more excellent.
