The invention provides a
rattan softening process method, which comprises the following steps of spraying deionized water on rattans to be harvested, wherein the
water temperature ranges from 25 to 30 DEG C; after two hours,
cutting and harvesting the rattans sprayed with the deionized water, removing leaves and thorns, and scraping
rattan peels of the part from a
cutting edge to the place 5cm over the
cutting edge; placing the rattans in a wooden bucket with
softening fluid, enabling the cutting edge to face down,
softening the rattans for 1 to 2 hours, taking the rattans out, and
drying the rattans until the
moisture content is not more than 5 percent; then placing the rattans into the softening fluid again, performing softening for 2 to 4 hours, taking the rattans out, thoroughly rinsing the rattans with
distilled water, and then
drying the rattans until the
moisture content is not more than 10 percent; and soaking the rattans with
toughening fluid for 30 minutes, then thoroughly rinsing with
clean water, and
drying in the burning sun. The process method provided by the invention is safe and non-toxic, and cannot cause
skin irritation, the rattans can be softened so that knitting is facilitated, the
toughness of the rattans can be well maintained, and meanwhile, the mould-prevention and moth-prevention capabilities of the rattans can be remarkably improved.
