5-Aminotetrazole is an organic compound with the formula HN₄CNH₂. It is a white solid that can be obtained both in anhydrous and hydrated forms. The compound has a particularly high nitrogen content of 80%. Partly for this reason, the compound is prone to decomposition to nitrogen gas (N₂). It has been widely investigated for gas-generating systems, such as airbags and blowing agents.

A fire suppressing gas generator composition which has a low burn temperature which provides an adjustable mass flow rate, which provides high inert gas yields upon combustion, which generates flame suppressing gasses during composition, which provides exhaust gas with low particulate content, and which is suitable for use in pellet form. The gas generator composition of the invention generally comprises a high nitrogen content solid, preferably 5-amino tetrazole, and potassium perchlorate or other oxidizer salt in an amount sufficient to allow flameless deflagration of the high nitrogen contant solid. The composition of the invention also preferably comprises a flame inhibitor precursor such as perbrominated aromatic compound, an elastomeric binder, a powder pressing modifier or enhancer such as mica, and an electrostatic charge suppressant such as graphite.

Gas generator having increased combustion rate and combustion gas amount

The present invention relates to a gas generator which is a core component of an inflator used for expanding an airbag for alleviating the impact on a passenger occuring during a vehicle collision, and provides the gas generator capable of generating a high combustion rate and a large quantity of gas. The present invention provides a gas generator having a combustion rate of 20 mm / sec or higher, a generated gas amount of 33 moles / kg or higher and a combustion temperature of 2300 K or lower by using: copper diamine dinitrate (CDD) as a principal oxidizing agent; basic copper nitrate (BCN) as an auxiliary oxidizing agent; guanidine nitrate (GN) as a principal fuel; 5-aminotetrazole (5-AT) as a combustion-rate-increasing fuel; metal oxide and a combustible catalyst as catalysts; and an additive. Also, the internal pressure of the inflator manufactured by using the gas generator is reduced to 100 bar, and thus the inflator is manufactured so as to weigh 250g which is a remarkable reduction in comparison with 440g of existing product A and 330g of existing product B.

The methodcomprises the steps: crushing palygorskite clay, adding a couplant, carrying out stirring treatment at normal temperature so as to obtain surface modified palygorskite clay, carrying out drying, and re-crushing the palygorskite clay; then, dispersing the surface modified palygorskite clay into ethyl acetate, sequentially adding a compound 1-propylphosphoric anhydride and a compound 5-aminotetrazole, carrying out ultrasonic treatment, and then, carrying out stirring for a period of time; and finally, carrying out air flow drying, recovering the ethyl acetate solvent, and grinding a dried powderproduct, thereby obtaining the palygorskite clay based multifunctional macromolecular assistant. Shown by experiments, the palygorskite clay based multifunctional assistant prepared by the method hasexcellent comprehensive properties, the thermal stability, cross-linking degree, flame retardance, tensile strength and impact strength of the materials can be comprehensively improved, and the smokedensity and combustion toxicity can be lowered, so that the multifunctional assistant of the macromolecular materials is relatively ideal and has very good prospects in the field modification of macromolecular composite materials.

Method for testing particle size and particle size distribution of 5-aminotetrazole

The invention relates to a method for testing the particle size and the particle size distribution of 5-aminotetrazole, wherein the particle size and the particle size distribution of an organic synthesis intermediate 5-aminotetrazole are tested by a wet laser diffraction method. According to the method, 5-AT particle size test is performed by using a trichloromethane solution containing 0.2-0.4%of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate and 0.1-0.2% of ethylphenyl polyethylene glycol as a dispersion system at an ultrasonic dispersion time of 5-10 min. According to the present invention, the relativestandard deviation of the multiple median particle size measurement results is not more than 6%, the precision of the method is good, and the wet laser diffraction method for testing the particle sizeof 5-AT has good applicability and can be used for the test of the particle size of 5-AT so as to be used for the quality control of the product.

Environment-friendly gasoline additive and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses an environment-friendly gasoline additive. The gasoline addtive comprises the following components in parts by weight: 40-50 parts of solvent oil, 3-4 parts of 1,3,5,7-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)adamantane, 1-2 parts of ascorbic acid, 3-5 parts of 5-aminotetrazole, 5-7 parts of an organic nano material, 1-3 parts of graphene, 2-4 parts of glycerol polyoxyethylene ether, 2-4 parts of PPG-1 trideceth-6, 2-5 parts of polyether amine and 1-2 parts of arylamine. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the environment-friendly gasoline additive. The preparation method comprises the following steps: sequentially adding each raw material into a reaction kettle according to a ratio, carrying out reflux condensation and stirring for 3-4 hours, and then carrying out standing for 5-8 hours. Compared with common gasoline or gasoline added with conventional gasoline additives in the prior art, the gasoline added with the gasoline additive disclosed by the invention has lower price and more complete combustion, is more beneficial to improving the lubricity, detergency and corrosion resistance, has a better reinforcing effect on the power of engines, and can effectively prolong the service life of the engine, reduce the exhaust of automobile tail gas, and reduce the pollution to the air and the environment.
