The invention discloses a method for restoring a degenerated
saline wetland through
intercropping of
tamarix chinensis and suaeda heteroptera. The method includes the following steps of firstly, selecting a coastal degenerated
saline wetland with
salt content of 0.5-1% in a Yellow River
Estuary, and irrigating the coastal degenerated
saline wetland where
tamarix chinensis cuttings are planted. Local saline-alkaline tolerance plants, namely
tamarix chinensis and suaeda heteroptera, are selected as the species for ecologically restoring the coastal degenerated saline wetland, the two species oftamarix chinensis and suaeda heteroptera are intercropped, the stability of an ecologic
system can be greatly improved, the forward succession of the ecologic
system is promoted, the operation methodis simple, the
survival rate of tamarix chinensis reaches 95%, the
ecology of the saline land can be rapidly restored, the tamarix chinensis and suaeda heteroptera can be used for high-quality
papermaking raw materials and promote the development of the local
papermaking industry, the emergence rate of suaeda heteroptera is 90% or above, suaeda heteroptera can reduce soil
salt content and can alsobe used as vegetables and feed, dual purposes are achieved, economic and ecologic benefits are remarkable, and the method can be applied and popularized in the heavy saline land in the Yellow
River Delta.
