The coil current step response is compared to past step responses in order to determine when an increase in or maximum load is present. A combination of step to step variance, step response variance from mean current magnitude, and average current magnitude variance, as well as other measures can be combined to create an algorithm output. The output is compared to a pre-determined threshold and if the value is greater than the threshold, the motor is commanded to halt its position, which remains magnetically synchronous. This position is then used as a reference point to zero, or to home the motor.

Compensation for leakage current from dynamic storage node variation by the utilization of an automatic self-adaptive keeper

A method and system for automatically detecting and optimally compensating a wide range of die leakage currents in dynamic circuits is presented. A self-adaptive keeper tracks the leakage and reduces the leakage effects by optimally controlled compensation current. The self-adaptive keeper utilizes a 2-stage embedded current mirror circuit, a dummy cell and a keeper transistor to compensate leakage current. The load impact of the self-adaptive keeper on the dynamic circuit components (for example, the impact on memory cells) is minimized by a dummy cell which detects and matches the instant leakage current. Amplification in the 2-stage embedded current mirror circuit provides an optimal current strength in the keeper transistor. The optimally amplified leakage current is utilized to compensate for a leakage induced voltage drop at the circuit's output. Thus, the self-adaptive keeper ensures the robustness of the circuit in real time and does not create any negative trade-off on read latency.

The present disclosure describes and teaches a drill safety system including a magnetic unit, a vacuum unit, and an improved hole saw drill set. The various parts of the drill safety system may be used individually or in combination with one another. The user may use the magnetic unit to surround the drilling site so that metal drill shavings on the drill surface may be collected by the magnetic unit. In addition, the magnetic unit includes a flippable top mechanism, allowing convenient disposal of the debris. The vacuum unit is fitted to the inner surface of the drilling site, collecting debris that fall through. The improved hole saw prevents over-penetrating by the drill, reducing the likelihood of damaging equipments underneath the drill site. This makes the drill particularly suitable for drilling holes during electrical work.

The method then comprises the steps of: obtaining a set of observations from the sensors of the device; determining the trajectory for the device that optimises the values given by the feature functions given for the set of observations; and determining the position of the device to be the end point of the trajectory.

A current perpendicular to plane dual giant magnetoresistive sensor (dual CPP GMR sensor) that prevents spin torque noise while having high dR / R performance. The sensor has a design that maximizes the GMR effect (dR / R) by providing a pinned layer structure that maximizes the positive GMR contribution of the AP2 layer (or magnetic layer closest to the spacer layer) while minimizing the negative GMR contribution of the AP1 layer (or layer furthest from the spacer layer). The pinned layer structure includes an AP1 layer that includes a thin CoFe layer that is exchange coupled with an IrMn or IrMnCr AFM layer and has two or more Co layers with a spin blocking layer sandwiched between them. The use of the Co layers and the spin blocking layer in the AP1 layer minimizes the negative contribution of the AP1 layer. The AP2 layer has a plurality of CoFe layers with nano-layers such as Cu sandwiched between the CoFe layers. The nano-layers increase the already strong GMR effect provided by the CoFe layers, increasing the positive GMR effect from the AP2 layer.
