The invention relates to a method for synchronously measuring time allocation and
oxygen consumption under a simulated environment of low temperature, rain,
snow and freezing, which specifically comprises following steps: preparing small animals; filling an
ice storage room with natural ice and
snow or making ice until the environment temperature is lower than 0 DEG C of and the
relative humidity is greater than 60%, and putting three
layers of
filter paper on the ice surface; debugging an
oxygen consumption
measurement device and a
video capture device, and inputting a video information to a computer synchronously; putting the small animals on the
filter paper, starting a time process and to capture the video, and recording the cumulative
oxygen consumption every five minutes; inputting the results of cumulative oxygen consumption to the computer, and calculating the time of each behavior or state and the
oxygen metabolism evaluation index; calculating the occurrence frequency of
oxygen metabolism signals of each behavior or state; and concluding cold-adapted behavior rules and an
energy balance strategy during
exposure process according to the calculation results. The biological
exposure process in duration of low temperature, rain,
snow and freezing weather can be accurately simulated. The method for synchronously measuring the time allocation and the oxygen consumption of
exposure bodies under a simulated environment of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing is provided. The essential data is provided for an analysis of cold-adaption strategy of exposure in low temperature, rain, snow and
freezing environment.
