The invention relates to a Chinese herbal composite
feed additive used for transportation
stress recovery of
beef cattle, and effectively solves the poor digestive function and
immunity problems resulted from poor body conditions brought about during transportation of
beef cattle. The additive is prepared by the following components by weight percent: 22-28% of medicated leaven, 15-20% of haws, 0.5-1.5% of
astragalus polysaccharides, 1-2% of active
yeast, 1.5-2% of
niacinamide, 0.7-1.2% of
vitamin C, 0.25-0.4% of
vitamin E, 0.25-0.5% of
zinc sulfate, 20-25% of
potassium chloride, 10-15% of
ammonium chloride, and 10-15% of
magnesium oxide. Specifically, each component is first crushed to a particle size below 0.5mm respectively, the
niacinamide, the
vitamin C, the
vitamin E, the astragaluspolysaccharides and the active
yeast are mixed uniformly, then the mixture is mixed with the
potassium chloride, the
ammonium chloride and the
magnesium oxide uniformly, and finally the haws and the medicated leaven are added and stirred uniformly, thus obtaining the
feed additive. The composite
feed additive of the invention has the advantages of scientific prescription, abundant raw materials, and easy production. Application of the feed additive in the feed of
beef cattle after transportation stress can promote the beef cattle to supplement electrolytes, trace elements and vitamins as quickly as possible after transportation stress. Thus, the composite feed additive provided in the invention has the effects of improving body conditions, enhancing
digestion function and
immunity.
