The simulator is based on an FPGA development board, an analog-digital sampling module samples an analog signal sent by a remote transmission device of a sending end and converts the analog signal into a digital signal; a fast Fourier transform module transforms the digital signal from a time domain to a frequency domain; an Ethernet module is connected with a control computer, and the control computer transmits control information to the development board; the Ethernet module transmits analog characteristic parameter information of the field wire to a parameter storage module to be stored; a calculation module calculates a signal output by the fast Fourier transform module according to the analog characteristic parameter information of the field wire, in order to simulate the transmission characteristics of the field wire; and the fast Fourier transform module transforms the signal from the frequency domain to the time domain and matches with a digital-to-analog conversion module to convert a simulation result of the transmission characteristics of the field wire into a form capable of being received by the remote transmission device. The simulator disclosed by the invention can save the time of establishing a wireless communication system meeting the requirements of field operations.
