Organic selenium-supplementing feed additive and preparation and using method thereof

The invention discloses an organic selenium-supplementing feed additive and preparation and a using method thereof. The feed additive is prepared by the following steps of: adding chitosan with deacetylation degree of 70 to 100 percent into 0.5 to 2 volume percent of diluted acid with stirring at the temperature of between10 and 60 DEG C to obtain 0.5 to 10 percent acid solution of chitosan; adding solution of inorganic selenium into acid solution of chitosan, wherein the mass of inorganic selenium is 1/6 to 1/2 time that of the chitosan; and reacting for 1 to 12h and separating, washing the obtained solid matter by using distilled water for many times until selenium ions cannot be detected, and drying and crushing to obtain chitosan selenium chelate. The chitosan selenium serving as the feed additive is applied to feeds for livestock, poultry and aquatic animals and is effectively absorbed and utilized in the animals by using proper stability and dissolution performance thereof, so that disease resistance, production performance and meat quality of the animals are obviously improved. The chitosan selenium has the advantages of little toxicity, high biological availability, small addition amount, and capability of saving resources and protecting the environment, so that the feed additive is a safe and effective environment-friendly feed additive.

Radial Cardiac Catheterization Board

Embodiments of the present description provide a medical apparatus for use in supporting a patient lying in a supine position during a radial cardiac catheterization procedure. More particularly, embodiments of the present description provide an arm board a patient's arm during a radial cardiac catheterization procedure. The arm board has a base member having a substantially planar support surface on which the patient's arm can be stabilized during a catheterization procedure and at least one shield member affixed to the base member and extending away from the support surface. Desirably, the base member has both a radiolucent portion and a radiopaque portion and the shield member is a radiopaque material, thereby reducing and / or eliminating a doctor's exposure to radiation during radial cardiac catheterization procedures without impairing the ability to obtain the necessary medical images. Also provided is a medical apparatus and a method for its use.

Vinyl monomer with superacid ester group and polymer of the same

The object of the present invention is to provide a vinyl monomer containing a superacidic ester group useful in the production of ionomers for polymer electrolyte fuel cells, and its production process. In addition, another object of the present invention is to provide a polymer produced from said vinyl monomer and its production process, as well as a process for producing a polymer containing a superacidic group from said polymer. The inventive vinyl monomer contains a haloalkyl ester group of a superacid, wherein the number of carbon atoms of the haloalkyl ester group is no more than 10, and the halogen in the haloalkyl group is chlorine and / or fluorine. A polymer containing said vinyl monomer as a repeating unit can be converted to a polymer containing a superacid group using at least one procedure of 1) heat treating at 50° C. to 350° C., and 2) contacting with a protic compound.

Method and apparatus for stabilizing a motorcycle

A method and apparatus suitable for stabilizing a two-wheeled motorcycle during operation. The apparatus is securable to a location near the front of the motorcycle engine. At least one arm assembly extends in a rearward direction relative to the motorcycle and outboard of the motorcycle's engine and operator's seat. A wheel assembly is mounted at an rearward end of the arm assembly and includes a wheel engageable with a surface supporting the motorcycle. A biasing assembly biases the arm assembly to rotate upward an adjustable limited distance at which the wheel is not engaged with the support surface. The biasing assembly applies a biasing resistance to downward rotation of the arm assembly over the limited distance for engaging the wheel with the support surface, yet allows the arm assembly to rotate upward farther than the limited distance to a raised position.
