The invention relates to ostrich feed using whole
plant wheat as major raw materials. The ostrich feed is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 11 to 16.7 percent of corn,0 to 6 percent of corn
protein power, 60 to 70 percent of whole
plant wheat, 3 to 15 percent of
rapeseed meal, 6 to 10 percent of cotton
meal, 0.8 to 3 percent of bean oil, 1 percent of 1-percent poultry premixed materials, 0.2 to 6 percent of stone
powder, 1 to 1.1 percent of
calcium hydrophosphate, 0.1 to 0.25 percent of
sodium chloride premixed materials, 0.1 percent of
choline, 0 to 0.3 percent of
lysine, 0 to 0.2 percent of
methionine and 0.15 to 0.3 percent of
sodium bicarbonate. The whole
plant wheat is obtained by crushing overground parts harvested after the wheat is matured and naturally dried in the land and the seed
moisture is lower than 20 percent to a state that all materials can pass through a
sieve being 60 to 80 meshes. The ostrich feed provided by the invention has theadvantages that the whole plant wheat accounts for 60 to 70 percent of the feed; the bean
meal and the wheat
bran are completely replaced; the additional addition of
straw powder is not needed; the maximum consumption of the corn is only 16.7 percent; the requirements of the ostriches can be met only through the matching of a small amount of
mixed meal; the feeding cost is lower; the
nutrition level can be balanced; the ostrich physique can be improved; the egg yield and the
hatching rate can be obviously improved.
