Embodiment 1

[0027] This embodiment provides a method for overwintering storage of subgenus Nymphaea, realizes the overwintering storage of dormant stems of subgenus Nymphaea, and the obtained dormant stems have strong vitality, providing ideal propagation materials for the propagation of subgenus Nymphaea . The method includes the following steps:

[0028] Step 1. Harvesting and processing of dormant stems

[0029] One week after the first frost, excavate the Nymphaea plants growing in the open air, remove the leaves and roots on the plants, obtain the dormant stems that have formed, and wash the soil and debris on the dormant stems with clean water.

[0030] The wide tropical subgenus of water lilies planted in Xi'an Botanical Garden in Shaanxi Province, including blue crab claw ( N. ‘NangkwaugDeng’ (Blue)), Red Lilac ( N. ‘Red Persian Lilac’), Ruby ( N. 'Ruby'), Blue Star ( N. colorata ), Islamada ( N. ‘Islamorada’), red crab claws ( N. 'Nangkwaug Deng' (Red)) and other 6 ...

Embodiment 2

[0037] The present embodiment provides a method for overwintering Nymphaea subgenus Nymphaea subgenus, that is, using the dormant stems obtained by the method described in Example 1 as propagation materials to form Nymphaea seedlings of Nymphaea subgenus Nymphaea. On March 15, 2016, the stored dormant stems were soaked in water to accelerate germination. The soaking time was 2 months. The germination of the dormant stems was observed, and the survival rate was counted.

[0038] The germination experiment found that most of the dormant stems had germinated, and the underground stems that had not germinated but remained hard were also considered to be alive.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of plant storage and discloses a brachyceras overwintering storage and propagation method. The method includes the steps of picking of dormant stems, wherein one week after arrival of first frost, brachyceras plants growing in the open air are dug out, leaves and root systems on the plants are removed, the formed dormant stems are acquired, and soil and impurities on the dormant stems are flushed away with clear water; air-drying of the dormant stems, wherein the dormant stems are arranged at indoor shady, cool and ventilating positions and dried in the shade till the surfaces are dry; storage of the dormant stems, wherein the air-dried dormant stems are put in plastic self-sealing bags, bag openings are sealed, and the dormant stems are subjected to overwintering storage under the light-shading and indoor 4.5-16 DEG C temperature varying conditions. The invention further relates to a method for propagating brachyceras through dormant balls. The method facilitates material obtaining, is easy to operate, saves cost, solves the problem about overwintering storage of the brachyceras in the northern areas of China, and provides experimental bases for further application and popularization of the brachyceras in northern landscape architecture.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of plant storage and propagation, and relates to a method for storing dormant stems of Nymphaea subgenus and a method for propagating with the formed dormant stems. Background technique [0002] Nymphaeaceae (Nymphaeaceae) Nymphaea genus ( Nymphaea Linn.) plants are collectively referred to as perennial aquatic herbaceous plants with rich colors and various colors in the visible spectrum. The important material of the garden wetland is also the first-class aquatic flower cut flower material. Its flowers are also edible and medicinal, and it is also a plant material with good water purification. [0003] The genus Nymphaea is divided into 5 subgenus: subgenus Nymphaea subgenus Wide Tropical ( Brachyceras) , Paleotropical subgenus ( Lotos ), Neotropical subgenus ( Hydrocallis ), Australian subgenus ( Anecphya ) and hardy Nymphaea subgenus ( Nymphaea ). Wide tropical subgenus Nymphaea ( Brachyceras...
