Bottle-shaped can manufacturing method

A bottle-shaped can manufacturing method for forming a shoulder portion having a slope and a diametrically small cylindrical neck portion integrally by further working a bottom side of a bottomed cylindrical can which is formed thinner at its trunk wall than at its bottom wall by drawing a metallic sheet having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.4 mm and by executing at least one thinning working of a bending / extending working and an ironing working.

Anatomical fixation implant

This invention relates in general to a bioabsorbable surgical tissue fixation implant (nail) and, more particularly to an implant for the fixation of soft tissue to bone. In one embodiment of the invention, the fixation implant generally includes at least one shaft configured to securely fit into a hole formed in bone. The shaft is of sufficient length relative to the interior diameter of the hole and, in some preferred embodiments, has locking protuberances, like threads, ridges, or barbs, that resist removal of the shaft from the hole in the bone when different types of forces, such as tensile or bending forces, are applied to the implant. The shaft is generally cylindrical in shape, however, in various embodiments of the invention, different cross-sections could be used. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the implant has a flattened and bent end portion emerging from only one side of the shaft. At the other side of the implant the outer surface of the shaft and the emerging end portion form a smooth surface, without any projections. This smooth surface at the end of the implant prevents irritation of the surrounding tissue. The end portion has a mating surface configured to grip a portion of the soft tissue surrounding the hole between the bone and the mating surface. The longitudinal axis of the shaft is oriented at an angle of less than 90 degrees relative to the mating surface. In this fashion, the implant anchors soft tissue, such as rotator cuff tissue, to bone.

Robot trajectory planning method based on genetic chaos optimization algorithm

The invention discloses a robot trajectory planning method based on a genetic chaos optimization algorithm. The method comprises the following steps: performing interpolation in a starting point and an ending point in Cartesian space to obtain a series of middle position points; establishing a D-H parametric model and solving angle values of joints of a robot corresponding to the position points in joint space; initializing a time interval sequence between every two nodes in the joint space; constructing values of angles passed by polynomial interpolation joint space and controlling themotion form of each joint; constructing a time optimal fitness function, optimizing the time interval sequences with the robot trajectory planning method based on the genetic chaos optimization algorithm until end conditions are met, and outputting the optimal time interval sequence; planning a motion trajectory and finishing set motion. With adoption of the method, the optimal running time of the robot can be obtained, the working efficiency of the robot is increased, curves of the motion trajectory, speed and acceleration are smooth without sudden change, and the service life of the robot is prolonged.

Latch interface for a valve actuating device

A novel latch seat for a switching rocker arm assembly used in variable valve actuation (VVA) systems for internal combustion engines. The seat is formed interactively in the assembled switching rocker arm using a novel fixture and press. The press interactively creates a curved dimple of the correct curvature, position and depth while measuring several lash dimensions. Since the latch seat is formed on the assembled rocker arm assembly, the latch seat depth is designed to account for the inaccuracies in the rocker arm assembly parts which create lash. Therefore all of the parts may be made with less precision since the latch seat is sized to compensate for the inaccuracies of all of the parts. The rocker arm assembly parts now may be manufactured to less stringent standards, but result in a rocker arm assembly with same accuracy of rocker arm assemblies manufactured to previous standards.
