An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a prismatic mirror element and a display element. The prismatic mirror element includes a wedge-shaped prism element having a front surface and a rear surface and a second element having a transflective reflector on a first surface thereof. The front surface of the prism element generally faces a driver of the vehicle when the mirror assembly is installed in the vehicle, and the rear surface is opposite the front surface. The transflective reflector coated first surface of the second element is attached to the rear surface of the prism element via an optically matching medium. The display element is positioned to the rear of the prismatic mirror element and operates to display information through the prismatic mirror element so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle when the display element is operated to emit visible light.

A method of manufacturing such a proppant is also disclosed, comprising the steps of manufacturing finely divided ceramic precursors and additives using grinding, milling, and preferably sol-gel processes, and dispersing the finely divided ceramic precursors and additives in a liquid, preferably water. The dispersion has a viscosity profile, which permits the shaping of spheres using conventional pelletizing techniques. Drying of the pellets and sintering at temperatures below 1,400.degrees. C. forms and retains mesopores and micropores in the ceramic. Preferred total pore volumes range from 0.05 to 0.7 cm.sup.3/g. The pelletized and porous ceramic is useful as lightweight and high-strength proppants.

The invention relates to an X-ray device which includes an X-ray source and an X-ray detector which are mounted at a respective end of a common holding device. The holding device being attached to the room by way of a supporting device. The present invention relates to electrochromic polymeric solid films, manufacturing electrochromic devices using such solid films and processes for making such solid films and devices. The electrochromic polymeric solid films of the present invention exhibit beneficial properties and characteristics, especially when compared to known electrochromic media. The electrochromic polymeric solid films are transformed in situ from a low viscosity electrochromic monomer composition by exposure to electromagnetic radiation, and in so doing minimum shrinkage occurs. The electrochromic polymeric solid films of the present invention also perform well under prolonged coloration, outdoor weathering and all-climate exposure, and provide an inherent safety aspect not known to electrochromic media heretofore.
