Medicament dispenser

An injectable medicament dispenser for use in controllably dispensing fluid medicaments such as insulin, antibiotics, oncolytics and the like from a prefilled container at a uniform rate. The dispenser includes a unique stored energy source in the form of a compressively deformable, polymeric elastomeric member that provides the force necessary to controllably discharge the medicament from the prefilled container which is housed within the body of the device. After having been deformed, the polymeric, elastomeric member will return to its starting configuration in a highly predictable manner.

A cutting saw blade for use with an oscillatory power tool used in surgical bone cutting procedures including a blade having a distal end provided with teeth whose tips are located on a tangent line perpendicular to the long axis of the blade. The teeth are configured substantially as right triangles with their hypotenuses facing either towards the center of the blade or away from the center of the blade. A central tooth can be optionally provided.

Passive Entry System for Automotive Vehicle Doors

A passive entry system for an vehicle door requires no active operator input to gain entrance to the vehicle. A door module recognizes the signal transmitted by an authorized key fob to identify the operator of the vehicle. The authentication of the operator coupled with the operator touching a sensor on the door to be opened actuates a release actuator that unlatches the selected door. The spring-load provided by the door seal will pop the door open from the closed position. A key cylinder, which can be located substantially anywhere on the door, is coupled mechanically to the release latch for use if the battery is weak and cannot activate the release actuator. An LED signals the state of the opening sequence for the door. The fixed door handle can incorporate a membrane switch or a capacitive sensor to indicate the selection of the door by the operator when touched.

Freezing and thawing bag, mold, apparatus and method

A mold is disclosed for forming a freezable and thawable bag of uniform thickness, especially useful for cryopreservation of thermolabile substances. The mold features one or more recessed planar surfaces, including radiused peripheral walls about the recesses, a planar top surface, and means for conforming a blank sheet to the mold. Two mold halves combine to form a completed bag. The mold halves may be complimentary.

Device for strengthening, training, and rehabilitating isolated muscle groups using elastic resistance elements

An exercise device, for use in strengthening, training, and rehabilitating the body, using at least two harnesses and at least one elastic element. The harnesses are attached to the body and have mating clips attached to them to establish anchor points. The elastic element has a pair of clip receptacle for attaching to the mating elements and has an elastic cord extending therebetween. When the clip receptacles are secured to the mating clips at a pair of anchor points, body movements relative to the anchor points are resisted by the elastic elements.

Mounting bracket and snow guard for raised seam roof

A mounting bracket attaches implements and other devices to the top surface of an inclined raised seam roof structure. The mounting bracket is formed with a body portion defining a wide cavity between opposing side walls to accommodate a variety of different sizes and shapes of raised seam configurations. A pair of opposing clamping jaws are disposed within the body cavity. One clamping jaw is fixed to a side of the body member, while the other clamping jaw is movably mounted to a threaded fastener that advances the movable clamping jaw toward the fixed clamping jaw and grip a raised seam structure therebetween. The body portion has a wedge-shaped receptacle on the top surface to mount devices such as a snow guard, which can be locked into place on the mounting bracket by a threaded fastener.
