A plurality of temperature dependent focal plane arrays operate without a temperature stabilization cooler and / or heater over a wide range of ambient temperatures. Gain, offset and / or bias correction tables are provided in a flash memory in memory pages indexed by the measured temperature of the focal plane arrays. The memory stores a calibration database, which is accessed using a logic circuit which generates a memory page address from a digitized temperature measurement of each of the focal plane array. The calibration database is comprised of an array of bias, gain and offset values for each pixel in the focal plane array for each potential operating temperature over the entire range of potential operating temperatures. The bias, gain and offset data within the database are read out, converted to analog form, and used by analog circuits to correct the focal plane array response. The output of each of the FPAs is multiplexed to a shared processing module and calibration data for each of the FPAs is accessed from the shared processing module.

The invention provides multiparticulates with controlled release properties, substantially free of lubricant. The present invention is preferably directed to extruded multiparticulates containing an opioid such as oxycodone, an ammonium methacrylate copolymer such as Eudragit® RSPO, a plasticising excipient such as preferably stearyl alcohol and a water permeability modifier such as preferably Eudragit® RLPO. The obtained multiparticulates show a release rate profile which is pH-independent.

A Lobster Eye X-ray Imaging System based on a unique Lobster Eye (LE) structure, X-ray generator, scintillator-based detector and cooled CCD (or Intensified CCD) for real-time, safe, staring Compton backscatter X-ray detection of objects hidden under ground, in containers, behind walls, bulkheads etc. In contrast to existing scanning pencil beam systems, Lobster Eye X-Ray Imaging System's true focusing X-ray optics simultaneously acquire ballistic Compton backscattering photons (CBPs) from an entire scene irradiated by a wide-open cone beam from one or more X-ray generators. The Lobster Eye X-ray Imaging System collects (focuses) thousands of times more backscattered hard X-rays in the range from 40 to 120 keV (or wavelength λ=0.31 to 0.1 Å) than current backscatter imaging sensors (BISs), giving high sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and penetration through ground, metal walls etc. The collection efficiency of Lobster Eye X-ray Imaging System is optimized to reduce emitted X-ray power and miniaturize the device. This device is especially advantageous for and satisfies requirements of X-ray-based inspection systems, namely, penetration of the X-rays through ground, metal and other material concealments; safety; and man-portability. Frame structure

The invention relates to frame structures, particularly to mobile stations and other small-sized portable devices operating at high frequencies. The frame structure according to the invention is formed by extrusion, whereby the fixing means required for fastening components are formed into it during the extrusion. Such fixing means are preferably pin-like projections which can be compressed to a rivet fixing the component. Such fixing means can also be strip-like fixing edges which are bent over the component edges. With such fixing means it is possible to form at the same time both a mechanical fixing and a good electrical contact between the component and the frame structure. During the extrusion it is also possible to fasten to the frame structure parts made of other materials, such as fixing means of other types or other components, such as antennas.

Pencil beam area is increased farther from the center by increasing the width of the slit toward both ends and increasing the width of the slots toward the outer end. High and low peak x-ray energies of 50 KeV or more and 30 KeV or less, respectively, enable differentiation between innocent and contraband materials that both contain low Z materials.

Internal planar antenna especially applicable to mobile communication devices. A PIFA-type planar antenna is fed coaxially-like. This means that the feed conductor (321) of a radiating plane (310) is surrounded by a shield conductor (322) galvanically connected to the ground plane (GND) for the length between these planes. The shield conductor at the same time serves as a short circuit conductor for the antenna. The antenna is matched by means of a matching slot (317) going between the connection points of the feed and short circuit conductors, and / or of the shape of the short circuit conductor. A patient who qualifies according to the invention can be termed a reverse remodelling responder (RRR) or the like.
