Content delivery network by-pass system

The bypass network is designed to provide fast access and high quality streaming media services anywhere anytime. There are five major components including Peering Gateway, Content Locator, Edge Server, Gateway and Client. The whole bypass network is divided into number of self-managed sub-networks, which are referred as local networks in this document. Each local network contains Edge Servers, gateways, and a Content Locator. The Edge Servers serve as cache storage and streaming servers for the local network. The gateways provide a connection point for the client computers. Each local network is managed by a Content Locator. The Content Locator handles all client requests by communicating with the Peering Gateway and actual web sites, and makes the content available on local Edge Servers. The Content Locator also balances the load on each Edge Server by monitoring the workload on them. One embodiment is designed for home users whose home machine does not move around frequently. A second embodiment is designed for business users who travel around very often where the laptops would self-configure as a client of the network.

Internet directory system and method using telephone number based addressing

An Internet directory system and method that is based on user telephone number addressing. The system includes an interactive white and yellow pages directory that is based on telephone numbers. Thus, a user's telephone number is a unique identifier used to key other information within the directory. The telephone number may also be used as the primary component of an email address, domain name, or web site URL for the user. The use of a telephone number as the primary component of an e-mail address or domain name greatly simplifies the process of locating a user. E-mail addresses and domain names may be readily found using standard telephone information services, such as "411", as well as other telephone-based methods for obtaining telephone directory information. This Internet directory system and method brings all communication methods and directory services together using one searchable key, a user's telephone number. The directory entry page may be created, edited and updated by the subscriber using simple html editing or using a voice telephone call or via fax, without the use of a personal computer. Thus, the present invention provides an open directory model wherein the end users construct the directory, and the directory is "living", i.e., dynamically changeable and updateable. The power of the directory is thus placed in the users' hands. The telephone based Internet directory system of the present invention also provides addressing for unified messaging as well as locality in addressing.

In-situ process state monitoring of chamber

The process state of a chamber after a maintenance procedure can be monitored in-situ in order to ensure that the chamber is ready for processing, while minimizing waste and downtime due to aftereffects of the maintenance procedure. The composition of a bulk plasma in a process chamber can be analyzed using an analytical tool to capture the emission spectrum of the plasma. The spectrum can be analyzed to generate a model of the current chamber conditions, which can be compared to a model of ideal chamber conditions using a statistical analysis approach such as multivariate primary component analysis. If the current and ideal models match to within a set confidence level, the chamber conditions are acceptable for processing devices, and any processing of cycling workpieces or other plasma-cleansing processes can be stopped.

Gamut mapping with primary color rotation

Gamut-mapping from a source device to a destination device is performed in a perceptually linear color space such as CIECAM02 by separating a source image into primary color components and processing each primary component separately by mapping a source primary hue leaf with a destination primary hue leaf. The mapped primary components are then summed and a resultant destination image is obtained. Alternatively, hue rotation is performed by determining a relative position of an input color between the nearest primary and the nearest secondary color in a source hue wheel. The determined relative position in the source hue wheel is used to find a corresponding location in a destination hue wheel so that the hue angle for obtaining the destination hue leaf can be determined. In both processes, the source and destination hue leafs are mapped using a cusp-to-cusp mapping with a shear mapping process being used to pull in the remaining colors. Finally, results of the mapping process are converted from device-independent color appearance space values to tristimulus values, and from tristimulus values to a color space of the destination device.

Two-component wet cement, process and application thereof

The technical field of the invention belongs to concrete and cement. The invention relates to a sialite binary wet cement and its package, transportation, storage and application. The sialite binary wet cement is composed of a “female body” as a primary component and a “male body” as a secondary component both of which are produced, stored, and transported separately, and are mixed together when they are used, wherein the “female body” and the “male body” each have a specific surface area of 2800-7500 cm2 / g, the “female body” is mainly composed of inorganic cementitious materials and water, and it is in slurry, paste or wet powder form during the whole period of its production, storage, transportation and usage; the “male body” is mainly composed of inorganic cementitious materials, and it can be a wet form or a dry powder form. When they are used, the “female body” and the “male body” are mixed together with a small amount of regulating agents. There is no generation of dust, SO2, NOx and CO2 during production and application of the sialite binary wet cement. Therefore heavy pollution of a traditional cement industry is avoided, and energy consumption and cost of product are decreased. The starting materials of the said cement mainly come from natural mineral, various slag and cinder. The said cement can be used for building, traffic, water conservancy, nine filling, timbering, and solidation of roadbed.

Circuit interrupting device with automatic end of life test

The present invention provides to a circuit interrupting device, particularly a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), with a test circuit which is capable of automatically generating a simulated leakage current to detect whether the service life of the circuit interrupting device has ended, i.e., whether the main components of the device are working properly, when the device is properly connected to power input terminals and in a tripped state. The test circuit contains an end-of-service-life integrated circuit chip, which is connected to a switch that interacts with the reset button, thereby, by observing whether the device is capable of resetting, a user can determine whether the service life of the device has ended, i.e., if the device can be reset, the device is working properly; if the device cannot be reset, the service life of the device has ended. Optionally, the circuit interrupting device contains an indicating light on the face of the device, thereby, by observing whether a normal status indicating light or a problem status indicating light is turned on and displayed on the face of the device, the user can determine whether the service life of the device has ended. The circuit interrupting device also possesses a forcible tripping mechanism through the operation of the test button to interrupt the power output to the device. The present invention also provides methods for detecting the end of service life of the circuit interrupting device.
