The present invention relates to a catheter for ventilating a patient, with a ventilation channel for alternately delivering and removing air and / or oxygen to and from the patient's airways, the catheter having a maximum external diameter of at most 6 mm, mm, and the ventilation channel having an open end, and a connector end for connection to a gas flow reversing element. Disclosed is a self-regulating hydrogen gas generator for a hydrogen fuel cell. The self-regulating hydrogen gas generator includes a fuel tank, defining an inner space having a designated volume, provided with a hydrogen outlet communicating the inner space, a fuel solution, containing a hydrogen storing material, stored in the fuel tank, and a catalyst contacting the fuel solution for generating hydrogen gas, wherein the catalyst fills a catalytic reactor, provided with a closed portion for interrupting the contact between the catalyst and the fuel solution, and an opened portion contacting the fuel solution, so that the generation and interruption of hydrogen gas are actively regulated based on the increase and decrease of the pressure of the fuel tank.

The apparatus in a first embodiment utilizes a vacuum to assist inserting the stopper within the syringe. A pathogen-proof and humane rodent trap that asphyxiates the rodent inside of a small airtight compartment so that the dead animal cannot act as a source for production or distribution of infectious organisms, and can be safely disposed of. Two embodiments are shown, one comprising two telescoping tubular members compressed together by a rubber band or the like, and a break-away bait stick is lodged between the two tubular members to hold them apart. When a rodent chews the bait stick it breaks away, compressing the tubular members together and sealing off the entrance aperture. In another embodiment, a single cantilevered tubular member is used, and it rests on a central fulcrum to allow tipping one way or another. A trap door is folded under one end of the tubular member and it snaps shut when the tubular member is tipped. Both designs are humane and sanitary, simple to use, effective, child and pet safe, small, disposable, and inexpensive to manufacture.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for converting an audio signal from a source (25) into audio waves, comprising a modulator (17), for modulating said audio signal, an amplifying switching stage (15), for amplifying a modulated audio signal supplied from the modulator, and a transducer (19). The transducer is connected directly to the switching stage, and is arranged to convert a pulse train from the switching stage into audio waves. Further, the modulator, the switching stage and the conversion means are integrated mechanically and electrically in one operational unit, being connectable directly to a mains power supply (12). By this electrical integration, no separate filtering is required, but instead the inherent qualities of the transducer are used for accomplishing filtering of the pulse train.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for the generation of directed vapor from a liquid source. Vaporization takes place within a device capable of confining boiling to a geometrically small volume, and expelling it as heated vapor via capillary vaporization. The foregoing is accomplished through the use of a lightweight, compact and portable personal vaporization device that generates heated vapor by the flash boiling of small volumes of aqueous liquid in a safe and energy-efficient manner. Further, the production of vapor absent microbes in aqueous systems is accomplished through the combination of microporous componentry and flash vaporization. The apparatus and methods are directed toward personal humidification for comfort and therapeutic purposes in the case of aqueous liquids, but may also be used with other, non-aqueous liquids.
