A closed-loop controlled antenna tuning unit (ATU) system includes a return loss detector connected to sample an RF signal generated by a signal source to provide a return loss signal. A matching state searching circuit is connected to receive the return loss signal and, in response, selectively store a return loss value and an impedance matching state. A central controller is connected to provide a switch control signal and apply an optimum matching state to the impedance synthesizer at the conclusion of the matching state search. An impedance synthesizer is responsive to the switch control signal for coupling a radio frequency signal and matching the impedance of an antenna to a signal source.

HAND-HELD MICROWAVE SPECTRUM ANALYZER WITH OPERATION RANGE FROM 9 KHz TO OVER 20 GHz

A spectrum analyzer is provided that includes components to achieve from below 9 kHz to above 20 GHz operation range while remaining hand-held. Components of the spectrum analyzer include an integrated precision stand-alone step attenuator that does not rely on printed circuit board (PCB) mounted circuit elements within the signal path. Further, a PIN diplexing switch separates signals into different base-band and highband paths. The baseband path includes a pre-amplifier for low frequency signals, while the higher frequency bands may not necessarily include a pre-amplifier. The baseband path further provides improved broadband termination of its 1st mixer IF port by incorporating a new quadrature-coupled directional (QCD) filter that includes a ring resonator. An inexpensive air dielectric multi-cavity baseband filter is also used to suppress 2nd mixer IF images. The highband path incorporates multi-throw MMIC PIN diode switches to selectively filter different bands of input signals. At least three total 1st mixers are used to increase operation bandwidth. A phase locked loop providing a 1st LO to the 1st mixers is created that uses a divide-by-two frequency divider in cascade with a sampler-type frequency downconverter. The output of the 1st LO is frequency doubled and filtered to increase the frequency range of the highband signal path.

The invention discloses an online monitoring system and a method for partial discharge of an intelligent switch cabinet based on ultra-high frequency detection. The online monitoring system comprises a sensor unit, a signal conditioning unit, a MCU (Micro Control Unit) unit, a communication unit, a system power supply and an upper machine monitoring unit. The online monitoring method comprises the following steps that: the sensor unit finishes collection of partial discharge signals in the switch cabinet; the signal conditioning unit realizes amplification, filtering, frequency reduction and bias of the signals, thus obtaining signals which can be converted by an ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) module in a DSP (Digital Signal Processor); the MCU unit realizes analysis and procession of the signals; and data are uploaded to an upper machine in a monitoring room through an Ethernet. According to the online monitoring system and the method for the partial discharge of the intelligent switch cabinet based on the ultra-high frequency detection disclosed by the invention, collection and procession of high-frequency signals conducted by the DSP are realized by adopting a frequency spectrum shifting technology; a time-frequency analysis technology and a mode identification theory are applied to the monitoring system, therefore, the monitoring system is functional in fault diagnosis; and in addition, an IEC61850 standard is adopted by the system, consequently, management of various IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices) and interconnecting as well as networking of equipment in a transformer substation are convenient.

Vibration monitoring system for gas turbine engines

Disclosed is a system and method for monitoring the vibration levels of gas turbine engines. The vibration monitoring system acquires vibration data from an engine, and processes the data with advanced algorithms to determine engine component health, both in a diagnostic and prognostic fashion. The method includes the steps of measuring an operating parameter and a corresponding set of vibration amplitudes for a plurality of rotating component during a period of operation and normalizing the set of measured vibration amplitudes based on established amplitude limits. The set of normalized amplitude data points are stored in parameter-based data blocks, which extend over a predetermined range of the operating parameter. For each data block, a time period remaining to reach the established amplitude limits is estimated based on changes in the normalized amplitude data points stored in the data blocks. An alarm setting is then established based on the estimated time period remaining to reach the established amplitude limits for each data block.

The method comprises the steps of: firstly analyzing coal layer characteristics through forward modeling, and providing basis for positioning of practical resource coal layers; then utilizing generalized S conversion time varying wavelet spectral simulation to improve the resolution of a target layer; then utilizing a layer position control multi-channel dynamic matching tracking method for carrying out highly-shielded stripping, and protruding weak signals; and finally utilizing a crack detection method, absorption attenuation analysis and wave impedance inversion to carry out contrast analysis, and obtaining a storage layer prediction result. The earthquake prediction and description method can well solve the problems that cracks are difficult to identify, the fracture-vug type storage layer is high in transverse heterogeneity, and the storage layer is low in porosity and low in permeability; in addition, the storage layer prediction precision is improved.
