The invention discloses a method for testing the content and consumption of an
electrolyte in a battery, which comprises the following steps that the weight mvolatile of volatile components is obtained, weighing is conducted to obtain the
mass m2 of the battery, the battery is broken and dried until the weight is constant, weighing is conducted to obtain the
mass m3 of the battery, and mvolatile=m2-m3; a dissolving solution is obtained, the dried battery is infiltrated with a high-purity
solvent with the fixed
mass m4, and the salt and the non-volatile
solvent in the battery are dissolved through the high-purity
solvent to obtain the dissolving solution; the weight mnon-volatile of a non-
volatile substance is obtained, the ratio a of the non-
volatile substance to the high-purity solvent in the dissolving solution is detected through a
gas chromatography, and mnon-volatile is equal to a*m4; the weight msalt of the salt is obtained, the salt concentration c1 in the dissolving solution is detected by adopting
ion chromatography, wherein msalt=(1+a)m4*c1; and the content melectrolyte of the
electrolyte is obtained, and melectrolyte=mvolatile+mnon-volatile+msalt. The method has the
advantage that the detected and calculated
electrolyte content is more accurate.
