Methods and apparatuses to design and analyze digital circuits with time division multiplexing. At least one embodiment of the present invention efficiently models subsystems connected by a TDM channel by introducing equivalent delays in the connections for the subsystems, where the delays are determined according to the upper bounds of the delays caused by the TDM channel. The TDM channel is modeled with its equivalent delays. Thus, a transformation tool is allowed to take into account the original constraints and time budgeting of the sending subsystem and the receiving subsystem. The problem of asynchronous clock domains is eliminated; and, simulation time of the multiplexed circuit is also improved. In some embodiments of the present invention, multiple TDM slots are assigned to a particular signal to reduce the equivalent connection delay caused by the TDM channel for the particular signal. In some embodiments of the present invention, timing simulation is performed using the equivalent delays to avoid the simulation of the TDM hardware; and, the simulation time step does not have to be reduced due to asynchronous clock, resulting in reduced simulation time.

A method and associated device for moving an image of displayable content displayed on a touchscreen of the device. Movement of an object along the touchscreen of the device toward an outer edge of the touchscreen is detected, and in response, the displayed image is moved toward the outer edge in synchronization with the detected movement of the object. It is determined that the object has traversed the outer edge of the touchscreen so as to no longer be touching the touchscreen, and in response, one or more motion sensors are activated to monitor the object for continuing movement of the object. The one or more motion sensors ascertain the continuing movement of the object away from the outer edge, and in response, the displayed image is moved toward the outer edge in synchronization with the ascertained continuing movement of the object.

Method and apparatus for determining one or more statistical estimators of customer behavior

Businesses typically have large amounts of data about customer transactions and other customer information which is not fully utilized. The present invention provides a means of using this information to make predictions about future customer behavior, for example by estimating the probability that a customer will leave a bank. Using these predictions the business is able to take action in order to improve its performance. Using customer data a Bayesian statistical model is generated and this model used to generate statistical estimators of customer behavior. The statistical model is formed using hidden Markov model techniques by clustering customer data and attributes (e.g. Age, sex, salary) into a finite number of states. The number of states is unobserved and considered random. Bayesian prior probability distributions are specified and combined with the data to produce Bayesian posterior probability distributions. Using these Bayesian posterior probability distributions the statistical estimators are obtained. For example, Monte Carlo sampling techniques are used or alternatively the posterior distributions are calculated numerically or analytically.

Apparatus and method for producing 3d audio in systems with closely spaced speakers

These parameters include configurable first and second attenuation parameters for cross-path signal attenuation, and configurable first and second delay parameters for cross-path delay. Optional sound normalization, if included, uses similar simplified parameterization. Further, in one or more embodiments, the audio processing circuit and method include or are associated with a defined table of parameters that are least-squares optimized solutions. The optimized parameter values provide wider listening sweet spots for a greater variety of listeners.

To provide efficient and effective modeling of data set, the data set is initially separated into several subsets which can then be processed independently. The subsets themselves are chosen to have some internal commonality, thus providing effective independent tools where possible. This commonality may include correlation between variables or interaction amongst the variables in the subset. Once separated, each subset is independently modeled, creating a subset model having predictive qualities related to the data subset. Next, the subset models themselves are aggregated to generate a overall final model.
