The invention relates to a method for setting temporary speed restriction for a train in a degraded mode. The method includes the following steps that an interlock system acquires temporary speed restriction information of an ATS; the interlock system acquires temporary speed restriction information in an interlock upper computer; the temporary speed restriction information in the interlock system is processed; the interlock system transmits the temporary speed restriction information to an encoder to be encoded; the encoded temporary speed restriction information is transmitted to a trackside speed restriction beacon by the encoder; a beacon antenna of the train acquires front speed restriction information when passing through the speed restriction beacon, and the speed of the train can be adjusted according to the front speed restriction condition; whether the temporary speed restriction information transmitted by a DCS is received or not is judged by the train, if yes, the train shields the temporary speed restriction information from the speed restriction beacon, and the temporary speed restriction information transmitted by the DCS is used as the reference; if not, the temporary speed restriction information from the speed restriction beacon is used by the train. Compared with the prior art, the method for setting temporary speed restriction for the train in the degraded mode has the advantages of improving traffic safety, efficiency and the like.

Vehicle Steering System Comprising a Degraded Operating Mode In Case of Breakdown of a Wheel Steering Actuator

Steering control system for a land vehicle with at least four steered wheels (1AvG, 1AvD, 1ArG, 1ArD), the system comprising one actuator per steered wheel (3AvG, 3AvD, 3ArG, 3ArD). The system comprises a control member (2) available to a driver and delivering a demanded steering angle (θ), a steering control unit (4) which, by way of input variable, uses at least the said demanded steering angel (θ) to determine a steering control angle for operating the said actuator, and means (5) for detecting a lock-up of one of the steered-wheel actuators, which are capable of delivering an alarm signal identifying an actuator that has locked up. The steering control unit has at least one normal mode and at least one degraded mode in the event of an actuator becoming locked up, the degraded mode calculating the steering control angle (αpi) of the non-locked wheels by imposing a first degraded-mode strategy whereby the instantaneous center of rotation (CIR) of the vehicle lies more or less on the straight line perpendicular to the plane of the locked wheel and passing through the center of the ground-contact area of the locked wheel, in a position that is dependent on the demanded steering angle (θ).
