A command to copy or cut selected data from a source file is received. In response to receiving the command to copy or cut the data, citation information associated with the data is automatically collected. The data and the citation information are then copied into a copy buffer. A command to insert the data into a destination file is received. In response to receiving the command to insert, the data and its associated citation information is automatically transferred from the copy buffer into the destination file. In one aspect, at least a portion of the citation information is displayed as a reference associated with the inserted data within the destination file.

The invention relates to the technical field of storage, in particular to an NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) data read-write method and NVMe equipment. The method comprises the following steps that: a transceiver receives an NVMe command which is written into an SQ (Submission Queue) by a host; when the SQ control module detects that the SQ changes in an SQ cache, the NVMe command in the SQ issent to an SSD (Solid State Drives) controller; the SSD controller executes the NVMe command and writes the generated NVMe command response into a CQ (Completion Queue) through a CQ control module; and the SSD controller notifies the host to read the CQ through trigger interruption to enable the host to process the NVMe command response in the CQ. Since the SQ and the CQ are both positioned in theNVMe equipment, the CPU (Central Processing Unit) can directly read the NVMe response command in the CQ or directly writes the NVMe command into the SQ so as to further lower the consumption of CPU resources. In addition, a way designed by the NVMe equipment can support CCIX (Cache Coherent Interconncet for Acceleration) on hardware, and therefore, the heterogeneous calculation of software memoryunification and an I / O operation can be realized.

Command queueing engine

The present invention includes a Command Queuing Engine (CQE) that is a firmware-assist block which processes some of the firmware tasks related to command and context management preferably for SCSI. When enabled, CQE will decode SCSI commands as they arrive, and determine if DMA contexts can be automatically configured and started to transfer the data for those commands. CQE can also program DMA contexts to automatically return status information either after the disk has completed a transfer (as in non-cached writes) or after the DMA transfer is completed (as in reads or cached writes). CQE also utilizes a buffer-based linked-list to queue the SCSI commands as they arrive for future DMA context configuration. The present invention provides automated recognition and linking of commands belonging to a common thread, i.e., are sequential. The present invention also provides extensive thread boundary information and flexible firmware control for reordering commands. Automatic TE entry generation and storage to buffer memory, and automatic TE retrieval from the buffer memory and execution of entire command threads are further features provided by the present invention. As a result, bus command response latency is decreased by reducing the delay for the command to be started and at the end of the data transfer for status to be send. Disk efficiency is increased by reducing the latency to back-fill or empty a buffer memory segment of data that will be transferred. Furthermore, the present invention is a low-cost trade-off between hardware and firmware functionality.

Semiconductor memory device with refreshment control

A semiconductor memory device includes a pair of memory sub arrays and a control signal generating circuit. The pair of memory sub arrays shares a sense amplifier, and each of the pair of memory sub arrays has a plurality of memory cells arranged in a matrix. Each of columns of the matrix is connected to a pair of bit lines, and each of rows of the matrix is connected to a word line. The control signal generating circuit sequentially outputs first and second refresh start signals within an operation time to an external refresh command in response to an internal refresh command. A first refreshing operation is carried out to first memory cells connected to a first word line of one of the memory sub arrays in response to the first refresh start signal, and a second refreshing operation is carried out to second memory cells connected to a second word line different from the first word line in the memory sub array in response to the second refresh start signal.
