Electronic device comprising a flexible display with edge protectors

The invention relates to an electronic device 60 comprising a flexible display arranged to be alternated between a collapsed state and an extended state, said flexible display comprising edge portions, the flexible display being further provided with an edge protector cooperating with the edge portions, wherein the edge protector is conceived to be alternated between a collapsed state and an extended state. In the electronic device 60a the flexible display 65 is conceived to be wound about a roller 61. The edge protector comprises rigid segments 63a, 63b, 63c, 62a, 62b, 62c, 62c interconnected by suitable means 64a, 64b, 64c. Wiring, pins, bars may be used for interconnecting means 64a, 64b, 64c. In the embodiment 60a an extended position of the edge protector is shown. In the embodiment 60b a collapsed state of the edge protector is shown comprising aggregations of segments 62′, 62″. The bars 64a, 64b, 64c partly protect the back surface of the display. The invention further relates to the electronic device comprising a flexible display wherein the flexible display is provided with an edge protector attached at least partially to the edge portions of the flexible display.

Landing gear drive systems

A drive system for rotating one or more wheels of an aircraft landing gear for the purposes of ground taxiing and / or spin-up prior to landing includes a motor operable to rotate a first drive pinion via a first drive path, and a driven gear adapted to be fixed to the wheel. The drive system has a first configuration in which the first drive pinion is capable of meshing with the driven gear to permit the motor to drive the driven gear via the first drive path. One of the first drive pinion and the driven gear includes a first sprocket and the other of the first drive pinion and the driven gear includes a series of rollers arranged in two or more rows, each row of rollers being arranged to form a ring, each roller being rotatable about a roller axis at a fixed distance from an axis of rotation of the first drive pinion or driven gear, respectively.

Display shelving device with integrated electrical power supply means for lighting units

InactiveUS20050173605A1Extreme ease of useSatisfactory degree of safetyShow cabinetsLighting heating/cooling arrangementsElectricityEngineering
This display shelving device is formed from a panel with multiple interlocking metal strip sections installed and fixed against a plane wall or special supporting structures, and comprising longitudinal recesses in the strip sections and / or at the junction of these sections. Slats made of insulating synthetic material are mounted in the recesses of the strip sections and include longitudinal slots within which power supply electrical conductors run longitudinally. The latter supply lighting units by means of detachable adaptors retained in the recesses, and of electrical links with the lighting units. Support brackets are mounted in the recesses in order to support detachable trays on the underside of which are fixed the lighting units. Application: presentation of articles (A) with lighting on retail or display premises.

Increasing the HDL level and the HDL/LDL ratio in human serium by balancing saturated and polyunsaturated dietary fatty acids

A method of increasing the HDL concentration and the HDL / LDL concentration ratio in human serum by providing a balance between a sufficient and required proportion of cholesterol-free saturated fatty acids in the daily dietary fat of the human and a sufficient and required, but not excessive, proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids comprising linoleic acid in dietary fat, while the remaining proportion of fatty acids and energy from the dietary fat is provided by monounsaturated fatty acids comprising oleic acid. Also described are compositions, including fat compositions and filled dairy products, containing such balanced fatty acid proportions.

Shin guard with enhanced tibial protection

An athletic body protective product such as a shin guard with enhanced protection against direct impact to bone structure shin. The guard includes a storage package formed of moisture-impervious material and sealable to prevent entry of moisture, a flexible protective guard positioned in the storage package and sealed therein against entry of moisture for being custom-formed to the shape of the shin while flexible and upon hardening providing a rigid, supporting custom fit. The guard includes a reactive system impregnated into or coated onto a substrate, the system remaining stable when maintained in substantially moisture-free conditions and hardening upon exposure to sufficient moisture to form a rigid, self supporting structure. A flexible pad is positioned on one side of the substrate along its length to provide a cushioning barrier between the hardened substrate and the protected bone of the athlete when the protective guard is in use. An elongate cover encloses the substrate on a side of the substrate opposite the protective pad, The substrate, protective pad and cover are joined together to form a unitary structure. An elongate, narrow, supplemental bone protection pad is positioned relative to the shape of the protective pad so as to reside in overlying relation to the shin bone for providing supplemental protection against direct impact.
