Infusion device and driving mechanism for same

A drive mechanism for delivery of infusion medium a coil capable of being electrically activated to provide an electromagnetic field. The coil surrounds a piston channel extending in an axial direction. The piston channel provides a passage for communication of infusion medium to an outlet chamber located at one end of the piston channel. An armature is located adjacent the coil, on one side of the axial channel. The armature is moveable toward a forward position, in response to the electromagnetic field produced by activation of the coil. A piston is located within the piston channel and is moveable axially within the channel to a forward position, in response to movement of the armature to its forward position. The armature and piston are moved toward a retracted position, when the coil is not energized. In the retracted position of the piston, a piston chamber is formed between the piston and a valve member and is filled with infusion medium. As the piston is moved to its forward position, the piston chamber volume is reduced and pressure within the piston chamber increases to a point where the pressure moves the valve member into an open position. When the valve member is in the open position, medium from the piston chamber is discharged into an outlet chamber located on the opposite side of the coil relative to the armature. An outlet is provided in flow communication with the outlet chamber, for discharging infusion medium from the outlet chamber.

An ultralight coaxial dual rotor helicopter having a substantially L shaped frame. Attached to the back of the frame is a vertical shaft engine, and a pair of yaw paddles for controlling yaw of the craft. The drive shaft connects to a belt drive at the top of the frame, which transmits the engine power to a transmission and coaxial drive gear for driving the rotors. Crank actuators are provided for tilting the rotor axis to control the pitch and roll of the craft. A pilot seat and ballast tank are attached to the front of the frame. The ballast tank may be filled with a volume of water to balance the craft for the weight of the pilot. The fuel tank is located behind the pilot seat on the centerline of the helicopter, such that as fuel is used and the weight of fuel in the tank changes, the balance of the craft will not be affected.

Methods for reducing cell pitch in semiconductor devices

A method for forming a semiconductor device having a reduced pitch is provided. A pad oxide layer is formed on a substrate, and a silicon nitride layer is formed on the pad oxide layer. A trimmed photoresist layer is formed on the silicon nitride layer, and the silicon nitride layer is etched using the trimmed photoresist layer as an etch mask. The trimmed photoresist layer is removed until the silicon nitride layer is completely exposed, and an exposed portion of the pad oxide layer is removed until a portion of the substrate is exposed. A gate oxide layer is formed on the exposed portion of the substrate. A poly layer is deposited on the silicon nitride layer, and the poly layer is etched back to form a plurality of poly gates. Then, the silicon nitride layer is removed.
