Drying control apparatus and method of washing and drying machine

A drying control method and apparatus of a washing and drying machine, in which cooling water dropped from a condensation duct to a tub accelerates the condensation of moisture contained in circulated air so as to improve condensing capability, a cold air drying time is differently set according to load so that when the load is small, a drying time is shortened, and the drying of laundry is rapidly performed, a power consumption rate is minimized, or a cooling water consumption rate is minimized according to user's desire, and a drying operation is controlled using a difference between a temperature of air and a temperature of cooling water so that the drying operation is efficiently performed according to load conditions so as to improve the drying capability.

Converters

A converter, and in particular a current source converter, including a bridge having an AC terminal for each of one or more AC lines, and first and second DC terminals. A converter arm is connected between each respective AC terminal and the first DC terminal, and between each respective AC terminal and the second DC terminal. Each converter arm includes a first power semiconductor switching device capable of being turned ‘on’ and ‘off’ by gate control and having a recovery time. The converter is adapted to be operated in one or more inverting modes.

One-piece splash and spill resistant lid

A one-piece disposable cup lid enables drinking while inhibiting splashing and spilling by blocking straight-line paths through the lid and dispensing beverage through a well. A drinking spout can include a well having a sidewall, a bottom and a penetration into the cup, or a sloping lid section can intersect a raised rim to create a well therebetween, with a penetration in the sloping section or the rim configured to block straight-line paths, for example by upwardly hinging of a flap or depressing half of a split, convex bubble. Embodiments include baffles that force a beverage to flow through a convoluted path and / or through chambers before being consumed. Baffles can be formed in place, or by hinged movement of flaps after forming. Textures and / or protruding structures can intercept, direct, and / or influence surface tension as beverage flows across surfaces. Vent hole sizes and locations can further limit flow and spilling.

Integrated radio communications system using an ordered hierarchical cellular coverage

An integrated radio communication system with ordered hierarchical cellular coverage comprises a first system and a second system, the coverage of the second system covered by the coverage of the first system, and a set of dual-mode terminals that can selectively use the first system or the second system. The first and second systems are configured to simultaneously share a common portion Bc of a first band B1 of frequencies respectively on a first uplink and a second uplink, and respectively manage first transmission resources and corresponding second transmission resources. The second radio communication system of lower level N2 is free to manage its second transmission resources without any coordination constraint with respect to the first system of higher level N1, whereas the first system of higher level is configured to not disturb the second system in the common frequency band portion. The first system is configured to transmit data packets on a first uplink random access contention channel and to manage its first resources optimally in terms of transmission capacity of the channel as a function of the measurement of the occupancy of the second radio resources currently used by the second system and of the first resources currently used by the first system.
