Methods of producing high quality equal-sized spherical shaped composite abrasive agglomerate beads containing small diamond abrasive particles are described. Beads are produced by level-filling fine mesh screens or perforated sheets with a water based metal oxide slurry containing abrasive particles and then using a fluid jet to eject the abrasive slurry lumps from the individual screen cells into a dehydrating environment.
