The invention discloses a
dielectric ceramic material with a giant
dielectric constant and low
dielectric loss. The dielectric
ceramic material is a SrTiO<3>-based
ceramic material with giant dielectric performance, a Sr bit of the SrTiO<3>-based ceramic material is jointly substituted by two elements Sm and Ba, a
chemical formula of the dielectric ceramic material is Ba<x>Sr<0.97-x>Sm<0.02>TiO<3>, and the x represents a
mole fraction of the element Ba, is larger than or equal to 0.1 and is smaller than or equal to 0.4; a fixed
mole fraction of the element Sm is 0.02. A method for preparing the dielectric ceramic material includes steps of mixing SrCO<3>, SM<2>O<3>, TiO<2> and BaCO<3> with one another according to a stoichiometric ratio of the
chemical formula Ba<x>Sr<0.97-x>Sm<0.02>TiO<3> to obtain mixtures; carrying out ball-milling on the mixtures;
drying the mixtures; pre-
sintering the mixtures; carrying out secondary ball-milling on the mixtures; granulating the mixtures; molding the mixtures;
sintering the mixtures and the like to obtain the dielectric ceramic material. The dielectric ceramic material and the method have the advantages that the dielectric ceramic material is high in dielectric constant (higher than 20000), low in
dielectric loss (lower than 0.05) and excellent in temperature and frequency stability; the method is simple and is good in
repeatability, high in yield, low in cost and suitable for popularization and application.
