The short rotor comprises aprimary portion I and a primary portion II, the primary portion I comprises U-shaped armature cores, permanent magnets I and armature windings, and the primary portion II comprises excitation cores,excitation windings and permanent magnets II. The asymmetric double-sided dual-permanent-magnet hybrid excitation switch flux linkage linear motor has the advantages that the short rotor is divided into two portions, the primary portion I is arranged on one side of the short rotor, the primary portion II is arranged on the other side of the short rotor, the primary portion I and the primary portion II are independent from each other and are positioned on different sides of the long stator, accordingly, the asymmetric double-sided dual-permanent-magnet hybrid excitation switch flux linkage linear motor has merits of magnetic flux switching type structures, and the shortcoming of competition of existing excitation windings, existing armature windings and existing permanent magnets for electric circuits and magnetic circuits can be effectively overcome; the asymmetric double-sided dual-permanent-magnet hybrid excitation switch flux linkage linear motor is of a double-sided permanent magnet structure, and accordingly the thrust density of the asymmetric double-sided dual-permanent-magnet hybrid excitation switch flux linkage linear motor can be increased; currents of the excitation windings can be changed, air-gap magnetic fields can be changed, hybrid excitation can be implemented, accordingly, the weak-magnetism constant-power operation ranges can be assuredly expanded, and the overload capacity can be improved.
