The invention discloses a heat-pump water heater system with five capillary tubes. The heat-pump water heater system comprises a compressor, a four-way valve, a plate type heat exchanger and a fin type heat exchanger, wherein the four-way valve is provided with an E tube, an S tube, an C tube and a D tube; the plate type heat exchanger is provided with a first upper port, a first lower port, a second upper port and a second lower port; and the input end of the compressor is communicated with the S tube of the four-way valve. In the heat-pump water heater system, a first electromagnetic valve,a second electromagnetic valve, a third electromagnetic valve, a fourth electromagnetic valve and a fifth electromagnetic valve are controlled according to different ambient temperatures correspondingto the valves, so that a refrigerant does not easily enter the compressor in the low-temperature operation process of the compressor, and the unit capacity and energy efficiency of a heat pump waterheater within different ambient temperature intervals are improved, and the compressor is controlled to operate at the high temperature environment interval within the evaporation temperature; the five capillary tubes are adopted to replace throttling parts, so that the throttling parts are prevented from being blocked; and meanwhile, when a heat pump water heater unit defrosts, the flow is increased and quick defrosting is realized.
