The method for sending the target data includes: encapsulating target data into long message formatted data with a preset data length; decomposing the long message formatted data into a plurality of data packages with equal data lengths, adding package head information to the front end of each data package, and adding package tail information to the rear end of each data package, wherein the package head information is provided with package numbers which are arranged in order, and the package trail information is checking information; modulating the plurality of data packages to at least two different sound wave carrier wave frequencies to form at least two pieces of audio data; and performing audio playing on the at least two pieces of audio data through an audio player. The invention also discloses a method for receiving the target data, an audio sending terminal, and an audio receiving terminal. According to the invention, the method for sending and receiving the target data can effectively improve the communication success rate of the target data.
