3D medical anatomical image system using 2d images

A medical imaging system generates 3D anatomical images from acquired 2D anatomical images. The system includes a synchronization processor for providing a synchronization signal identifying a particular phase of heart operation of a particular patient. An image acquisition device acquires 2D anatomical images of a patient heart in angularly variable imaging planes over multiple different heart cycles at the particular phase of heart operation in response to the synchronization signal and in response to recorded data indicating imaging previously being performed at particular imaging plane angles. An image processor stores the recorded data to prevent imaging overlap at the particular imaging plane angles and to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure of the patient. The image processor processes 2D images acquired by the image acquisition device of the patient heart in multiple different imaging planes having relative angular separation, to provide a 3D image reconstruction of the patient heart

Method and system for the display of virtual image edits

Embodiments for a method and system for the display of virtual image edits are disclosed. Source / linked image(s) (201a) in a web or other computer device (100a) environment may be virtually edited and / or combined with one another (102), by individual users, in collaboration with others or an automated program. Only the virtual edit alteration code, including the source image location information, are displayed (108) and saved (410), eliminating image redundancy, as the source images are not truly edited, copied or resaved, but instead remain stored at the copyright holder's disclosed location. Just as the House Of Mirrors in an amusement park changes ones reflection without changing the person, separating the image(s) from the virtual edits improves image load speeds and saves storage space. The said display is dynamically affected should the image copyright holder change or delete one of the source images.

Color-coded backlighted single camera three-dimensional defocusing particle image velocimetry system

InactiveUS20110025826A1Well formedLow lighting powerFull-field flow measurementSteroscopic systemsColor image filteringLinearity
Three-Dimensional Defocusing Particle Image Velocimetry (3DDPIV) allows for measurement of three-dimensional velocities within a volume. In the disclosed embodiment, a mask with a plurality of apertures is disposed with a lens between the test section and a color camera. The field-of-view is backlit and the test section is seeded with black particles. This configuration allows for a lower power light source as compared to conventional 3DDPIV. Color-coded particle images are formed on a white background, wherein each of the color images is generated from light that travels through the filters not blocked by the imaged particle, thereby producing a color image that is of a color different from the color of any of the filters. A color space linear transformation is used to allow for accurate identification of each pinhole exposure when the color filters' spectrum does not match those of the 3-CCD color camera.

Disk array apparatus

The usage amount of a pool area is avoided from becoming equal to 100%, thereby preventing all snapshot images from being crashed. There is provided a disk-array apparatus including a control processor. Here, the control processor controls a data reading / writing from / into a first logical volume created using a memory area of plural disk drives, and controls past data such that the past data is written into a second logical volume as differential data on each generation basis, the past data being stored into the first logical volume, and manages the differential data. If the amount of the differential data stored into the second logical volume has exceeded a first predetermined value, the control processor determines a generation of the differential data to be deleted from among the differential data written into the second logical volume. The control processor deletes the differential data of the generation determined.

Fast channel surfing

Digital television having improved channel surfing ability. At least the “I” and “P” frames of an MPEG transport stream are buffered for as many program streams as memory permits. A pointer tracks where the last “I” frame of each program stream is in memory. Since the last “I” frame and subsequent “P” frames of a program stream are available, channel changes within the current MPEG transport stream are speed up by allowing any “P” frame to start a newly selected program stream. Extra memory enables buffering of all of the “I”, “P” and “B” frames of a program stream. Extra tuners can enable selection of multiple MPEG transport streams. Intelligent choices of MPEG transport streams can speed surfing across transport streams.

Transilluminator light shield

Transillumination uses light to image tissues and organs, specifically the veins within the tissue. Strong ambient light hinders the imaging of veins and often, transillumination must be done in a dark or dim room. To enhance the capabilities of a transilluminator, a light shield is placed over the viewing area of the transilluminator so that turning off or dimming of ambient light is not necessary. For pediatric care, a frustroconical adapter attached to the bottom of the transilluminator. The adapter reduces the size of the viewing area.

Image viewer

In an image viewer, a lot of image data files are registered in a database. In each image data file, positional data is attached to image data, indicating a camera location at which the image data is captured. An image arrangement decider gets the positional data from the image data files, and decides a lattice arrangement of registered images based on the positional data, so that the relative positions of the images in the lattice correspond to the correlations between the camera locations of these images. A control device controls a display device to display the images tightly in the decided arrangement on a screen. Information relating to the camera locations of the images, e.g. borders, place names or a map, may be retrieved based on the attached positional data from another database, and displayed in addition to the images.
