3D medical anatomical image system using 2d images

A medical imaging system generates 3D anatomical images from acquired 2D anatomical images. The system includes a synchronization processor for providing a synchronization signal identifying a particular phase of heart operation of a particular patient. An image acquisition device acquires 2D anatomical images of a patient heart in angularly variable imaging planes over multiple different heart cycles at the particular phase of heart operation in response to the synchronization signal and in response to recorded data indicating imaging previously being performed at particular imaging plane angles. An image processor stores the recorded data to prevent imaging overlap at the particular imaging plane angles and to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure of the patient. The image processor processes 2D images acquired by the image acquisition device of the patient heart in multiple different imaging planes having relative angular separation, to provide a 3D image reconstruction of the patient heart

Master-slave teleoperation vascular intervention surgical robot

The invention relates to a master-slave teleoperation vascular intervention surgical robot which comprises a master control mechanism, a slave propulsion mechanism and a PMAC (Programmable Multi-Axis Controller); the master control mechanism serves as the operating end for a doctor; the slave propulsion mechanism serves as an actuating mechanism of the robot, and used in an operating room for replacing the doctor to hold a catheter for completing the motion function of the catheter; and the PMAC is used for realizing information transfer between the master control mechanism and the slave propulsion mechanism, so that the slave catheter propulsion mechanism moves according to the motion information of the master control mechanism. The master-slave teleoperation vascular intervention surgical robot has the advantages that the master-slave teleoperation method is adopted for assisting the doctor to perform the operation, the slave propulsion mechanism realizes the axial feeding and circumferential rotation motion of the catheter, and is used in the operating room for replacing the doctor to hold the catheter, so that the doctor is free from the operating room, and outside the operating room without ray radiation, the master control mechanism realizes the teleoperation of the catheter propulsion mechanism to avoid the doctor from ray radiation; and the operation is stable and reliable, the operation accuracy is high, and the operation quality is favorably improved.

Radioprotective compound coating for medical devices

Medical devices, and in particular implantable medical devices, may be coated to minimize or substantially eliminate a biological organism's reaction to the introduction of the medical device to the organism. The medical devices may be coated with any number of biocompatible materials. Therapeutic drugs, agents or compounds may be mixed with the biocompatible materials and affixed to at least a portion of the medical device. These therapeutic drugs, agents or compounds may also further reduce a biological organism's reaction to the introduction of the medical device to the organism. In addition, these therapeutic drugs, agents and/or compounds may be utilized to promote healing, including the formation of blood clots. Also, the devices may be modified to promote endothelialization. Other compounds may include those that prevent damage from ionizing radiation. Various materials and coating methodologies may be utilized to maintain the drugs, agents or compounds on the medical device until delivered and positioned. In addition, the devices utilized to deliver the implantable medical devices may be modified to reduce the potential for damaging the implantable medical device during deployment. Medical devices include stents, grafts, anastomotic devices, perivascular wraps, sutures and staples. In addition, various polymer combinations may be utilized to control the elution rates of the therapeutic drugs, agents and/or compounds from the implantable medical devices.

Electromagnetic shielding plate, electromagnetic shielding structure, and entertainment system

An electromagnetic shielding plate having high shielding effect is provided. The electromagnetic shielding plate is formed of a conductive plate having elasticity and is provided on the edge thereof with a connecting strip bent in such a manner that the tip thereof projects from the surface of the plate, and with a supporting portion. When the electromagnetic shielding plate and the printed substrate are connected, it is ensured that the ground pattern 201 of the printed board 200 and the connecting strip are brought into contact with respect to each other, thereby a high shielding effect can be obtained.

System and method of interferentially varying electromagnetic near field patterns

A system for ablating tissue using interferential electromagnetic fields, comprises tumor shape information; radiation tip shape and position information; a mathematical model for computing first frequency and phase information, second frequency and phase information, and mixing information based on the tumor shape information and on the radiation tip shape and position information. The system further comprises a first generator mechanism for generating a first tone based on the first frequency information and on the first phase information; a second generator mechanism for generating a second tone based on the second frequency information and on the second phase information; a mixer for mixing the first and second tones based on the mixing information; and a radiation tip for generating an interferential electromagnetic field pattern based on the first and second tones. The radiation tip may include radiation coils affixed to the distal end of a conduction member. The conduction member may include a set of nesting conductors for transmitting current to the radiation coils within the radiation tip, the current being selected based on the interferential electromagnetic field pattern desired. Also, using interferential electromagnetic field patterning, non-medical and/or non-cell-destroying systems, e.g., a tissue warmer, a faster microwave oven, an effective security gateway, and/or a safer cellular telephone, may be created.
