A medical imaging system generates 3D anatomical images from acquired 2D anatomical images. The system includes a synchronization processor for providing a synchronization signal identifying a particular phase of heart operation of a particular patient. An image acquisition device acquires 2D anatomical images of a patient heart in angularly variable imaging planes over multiple different heart cycles at the particular phase of heart operation in response to the synchronization signal and in response to recorded data indicating imaging previously being performed at particular imaging plane angles. An image processor stores the recorded data to prevent imaging overlap at the particular imaging plane angles and to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure of the patient. The image processor processes 2D images acquired by the image acquisition device of the patient heart in multiple different imaging planes having relative angular separation, to provide a 3D image reconstruction of the patient heart

The invention relates to a three-degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism type dual head for five-axis machine tools, which comprises a static platform, a movable platform and four branch chains connected with the two platforms. A control method includes seven steps: (1) a Jacobian matrix is solved according to the inverse solution formula of the symmetric structure, and a corresponding model is established; (2) a Jacobian matrix is solved according to the inverse solution formula of the asymmetric structure, and a corresponding model is established; (3) a corresponding variable-structure controller is designed; (4) the tracking locus and external load of the dual head are set, and the internal force threshold of each branch chain is set; (5) the force feedback value of a force sensor on each non-redundant branch chain is acquired and compared with a set threshold; (6) according to the Jacobian matrix in the first step, the driving force of each motor is calculated, force control is adopted on the non-redundant branch chains, and position-tracking control is adopted on the redundant branch chains; (7) according to the Jacobian matrix in the second step, the driving force of each motor is calculated, position-tracking control is adopted on the non-redundant branch chains with the force feedback values larger than the threshold, and force control is adopted on the redundant branch chains and the other two non-redundant branch chains.

Complementary source follower circuit controlled by back bias voltage

A complementary source follower circuit has an N-channel type transistor and a P-channel transistor. The threshold voltage of each transistor is independently controlled by a back bias voltage control circuit so that the input voltage and the output voltage relationship can be made linear without the use of an additional circuit such as a level shifting circuit. Also, power consumption can be reduced when the circuit is in standby mode by using the back bias voltage control circuit to achieve non-linearity. A back bias voltage control circuit can also be used to control the threshold voltage of a transistor in series with a resistance load to reduce power usage.

Methodology and method and apparatus for signaling with capacity optimized constellations

Communication systems are described that use geometrically shaped constellations that have increased capacity compared to conventional constellations operating within a similar SNR band. In several embodiments, the geometrically shaped is optimized based upon a capacity measure such as parallel decoding capacity or joint capacity. In many embodiments, a capacity optimized geometrically shaped constellation can be used to replace a conventional constellation as part of a firmware upgrade to transmitters and receivers within a communication system. In a number of embodiments, the geometrically shaped constellation is optimized for an Additive White Gaussian Noise channel or a fading channel. In numerous embodiments, the communication uses adaptive rate encoding and the location of points within the geometrically shaped constellation changes as the code rate changes. One embodiment of the invention includes a transmitter configured to transmit signals to a receiver via a communication channel, wherein the transmitter, includes a coder configured to receive user bits and output encoded bits at an expanded output encoded bit rate, a mapper configured to map encoded bits to symbols in a symbol constellation, a modulator configured to generate a signal for transmission via the communication channel using symbols generated by the mapper. In addition, the receiver includes a demodulator configured to demodulate the received signal via the communication channel, a demapper configured to estimate likelihoods from the demodulated signal, a decoder that is configured to estimate decoded bits from the likelihoods generated by the demapper. Furthermore, the symbol constellation is a capacity optimized geometrically spaced symbol constellation that provides a given capacity at a reduced signal-to-noise ratio compared to a signal constellation that maximizes dmin.
