Apparatus and process for rapidly filling with hydrogen

An apparatus for rapidly filling a hydrogen tank with a hydrogen gas comprises a hydrogen source; a hydrogen tank; a passage which connects the hydrogen source and said hydrogen tank; and a mechanism for varying the hydrogen-filling rate. The mechanism for varying the hydrogen-filling rate changes the hydrogen-filling rate depending upon the pressure within said hydrogen tank. The apparatus can suppress heat generation at the initial filling stage where the temperature is easily increased. Also, even if it takes longer time for increasing the pressure within the hydrogen tank at the initial filling state, the delayed time can be caught up and, the apparatus and the process of the present invention can totally attain a rapidly filling with hydrogen.

Rock drilling in great depths by thermal fragmentation using highly exothermic reactions evolving in the environment of a water-based drilling fluid

A method and a device to thermally fragment rock for excavation of vertical and directional boreholes in rock formations, preferentially hard rock, using highly exothermic reactions. Exothermic reactions are initiated directly in the pressurized, aqueous environment of a water-based drilling fluid preferably above the critical pressure of water (221 bar). After reaction onset temperatures within the reaction zone exceed the critical temperature for water (374° C.) providing supercritical conditions, which favor the stabilization of the reaction, e.g. a supercritical hydrothermal flame. Since reactions can be run directly in a water-based drilling fluid, the method proposed here allows high density drilling action as in conventional rotary drilling. A part from the hot reaction zone of the proposed reaction can be brought directly to the rock surface in case of hard polycrystalline rock, where high temperatures are required.

Method of estimating temperature and device for the effecting same

In accordance with the presence or absence of heat, a transistor shows a relatively rapid change, while a cooling water CLW shows a relatively gentle change. The temperatures of both members settle down to approximately equal temperatures when no heat is generated in the transistor. At this time, the temperature of one of the transistor or the cooling water and the amount of energization of the transistor are used to estimate the temperature of the other member. This method is applied to other temperature estimations, such as estimation of the temperature between a stator coil and a stator iron core of a motor etc.

Compact, all-weather temporary shelter

A compact, temporary shelter that includes at least two vertical frame members aligned transversely over a base frame. Each frame member includes two opposite straight lower sections, two curved eave sections, two optional straight roof sections and a curved, central peak section. Adjacent frame members are interconnected by a plurality of purlins. The shelter includes an inner liner disposed over the inside surfaces of the frame members. The inner liner creates wall air spaces between two adjacent frame members and an upper attic and a lower living space that are partially isolated. When attached to an HVAC unit, air from the living space and flows and circulates into the wall air spaces between the frame members and into the attic. From the attic, air travels through a vent opening formed on an end cover to the outside environment. Located inside the shelter is a flexible air sock that connects at one end to the output port on the HVAC unit to evenly distribute the air into the living space. Because the frame member includes straight sidewalls and the inner lining forms a relatively high ceiling, greater storage and living space is created.

Linear compensation method of touch panel

A linear compensation method of a touch panel is utilized to a touch control computer system. According to the method, a compensation reference table, including reference temperatures and reference surface resistances at pre-determined reference points having known coordinates at the reference temperatures, is obtained at first. Then, a set of user calibration resistance at the pre-determined reference points is obtained through a user calibration process, so as to obtain ratios of the user calibration resistances to interpolation surface resistances as correction weights. Under different temperature, interpolation surface resistances corrected by utilizing the correction weight to derive the current correction surface resistances that are corrected and nearly identical to actual surface resistances. Therefore, relatively precise coordinates are obtained through resistance-coordinate conversion process.
