The invention provides a vertical type turbine bearing system. The vertical type turbine bearing system comprises a shaft, a bearing body, upper spacing sleeves, upper nozzle sleeves, angular contactball bearings, upper sleeves, spring sleeves, springs, lower sleeves, deep groove ball bearings, inner sleeves, oil slingers, lower spacing sleeves and the like; and the upper end and the lower end ofthe bearing body are installed on the middle part of the shaft in a sleeving mode through the angular contact ball bearings and the deep groove ball bearings. According to the vertical type turbine bearing system, the axial force in the vertical direction is borne by the angular contact ball bearings, a specially arranged thrust bearing is omitted, and the structure is simplified; and the frictional resistance is reduced due to the fact that the thrust bearing does not exist, and the turbine rotor has a short time form stationary to acceleration.
