52 results about "Maximum usable frequency" patented technology

In radio transmission maximum usable frequency (MUF) is the highest radio frequency that can be used for transmission between two points via reflection from the ionosphere (skywave or "skip" propagation) at a specified time, independent of transmitter power. This index is especially useful in regard to shortwave transmissions. In shortwave radio communication, a major mode of long distance propagation is for the radio waves to reflect off the ionized layers of the atmosphere and return diagonally back to Earth.

Power converter

The noise generated from a power converter is suppressed by increasing the noise frequency to a level not lower than the maximum frequency of the human audible range. To obtain the frequency of an output current harmonic component as a noise source which has exceeded the maximum frequency of the human audible range, it is adequate to determine that the frequency of a driving carrier wave for the individual converter cells in the power converter, in which the phases of the carrier wave for the converter cells are mutually shifted by a given value between the converter cells, meets the following equation.fcarrier≧faudibility<sub2>—< / sub2>max÷N

The invention relates to an aircraft target detection method under a radar scanning mode in wind turbine clutter background. The method includes the following steps that: radar multi-scanning data of wind turbine clutter are obtained through utilizing apriori information, and the maximum Doppler frequency of wind turbine blades is estimated according to the data; super resolution technology is introduced for the obtained radar scanning data, so that frequency resolution can be improved; Hough transform is performed on radar echo data which have been subjected to super resolution processing, so that whether the wind turbine blades are vertical to radar beams can be detected, if the wind turbine blades are vertical to the radar beams, whether an aircraft target exists is further detected, otherwise, the possible Doppler frequencies of the tips of the wind turbine blades and the aircraft are estimated through utilizing the power spectrum of the radar echoes which have been subjected to the super resolution processing; the possible Doppler frequencies are compared with the calculated value of the Doppler frequency of the tips of the wind turbine blades; and whether the aircraft target exists in a range gate can be judged according to a comparison result. With the method of the invention adopted, a situation in which only wind turbine clutter exist and a situation in which aircraft and wind turbine clutter co-exists can be distinguished, and aircraft target detection under wind turbine clutter background with any blade initial angle can be realized.

Communication semiconductor integrated circuit device and wireless communication system

The invention provides a communication semiconductor integrated circuit device (RF IC) capable of pulling in the frequency of a PLL circuit to a desired set frequency at high speed even in the case where a frequency settable range of the PLL circuit is wide without providing a current source other than a current source for charging and discharging in an normal operation. An oscillator as a component of a PLL circuit is constructed so as to be operative in a plurality of bands. In a state where a control voltage of the oscillator is fixed to a predetermined value, an oscillation frequency of the oscillator is measured in each of bands and stored in a storing circuit. A set value for designating a band supplied at the time of PLL operation is compared with the stored measured frequency value. From a result of comparison, a band to be actually used in the oscillator is determined, and a frequency difference between the maximum frequency of the selected band and the set frequency is obtained. Further, a control voltage closest to the set frequency is determined on the basis of the frequency difference and the frequency variable range of the selected band and the control voltage is applied to the oscillator to start oscillating operation. After that, a PLL loop is closed and locked.

CDMA transmission power control in variable control cycle

In a CDMA transmission power control system for controlling reverse transmission power of reverse transmission power for a mobile station, a Doppler frequency detector (50) detects a maximum Doppler frequency using a pilot symbol extracted from a desired transmission data signal per transmission power control period. When the maximum Doppler frequency is smaller than a Doppler frequency threshold, the system performs a closed loop control in a cycle of the transmission power control period. On the other hand, when the maximum Doppler frequency is larger than the Doppler frequency threshold, the system performs the closed loop control in a cycle of N times the transmission power control period in appearance.

A frequency expansion device and a radio frequency system

The invention discloses a frequency expansion device and a radio frequency system. The frequency expansion device comprises a straight-through channel for receiving and outputting a first radio frequency input signal of a first frequency band and a spread-spectrum channel for receiving a second radio frequency input signal of a second frequency band and outputting a spread-spectrum signal of a third frequency band, the maximum frequency of the third frequency band being greater than the maximum frequency of the first frequency band.
