Baby Care Skin Protectant Compositions for Diaper Rash

The present invention provides a comprehensive solution to skin problems of infants and incontinent adults related to diaper rash, also known as diaper dermatitis. This is based on certain novel divalent metal and quaternary ammonium complexes (ion-pairs) of zeolites (that are made by an in-situ process), which in synergistic combination with certain other compositions, provide a comprehensive treatment for diaper rash that encompasses the following aspects: (1) deactivation of lipase and protease enzymes on skin surface, (2) the controlled-release delivery of skin protectant compositions, such as divalent metal zinc cation, (3) trapping of acidic and alkaline chemicals deposited on skin from body exudates and enzyme activity, (4) controlled-release delivery of anti-inflammatory agents, and COX and LOX enzyme inhibitors, (5) controlled-release delivery of antibacterial and antifungal compositions, and (6) absorption of excess moisture in the diaper zone.

Novel silicate-based yellow-green phosphors

Novel phosphor systems are disclosed having the formula A2SiO4:Eu2+D, where A is at least one of a divalent metal selected from the group consisting of Sr, Ca, Ba, Mg, Zn, and Cd; and D is a dopant selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, I, S and N. In one embodiment, the novel phosphor has the formula (Sr1-x-yBaxMy)2SiO4: Eu2+F (where M is one of Ca, Mg, Zn, or Cd in an amount ranging from 0<y<0.5). The phosphor is configured to absorb visible light from a blue LED, and luminescent light from the phosphor plus light from the blue LED may be combined to form white light. The novel phosphors can emit light at intensities greater than either conventionally known YAG compounds, or silicate-based phosphors that do not contain the inventive dopant ion.

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, its preparation and application

The invention relates to a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, its preparation and application. The catalyst contains a carrier and an active metal component that is loaded on the carrier and is selected from iron and / or cobalt. The catalyst is characterized in that, the carrier is a surface modified porous heatproof inorganic oxide molded carrier composed of silicon and one or more divalent metal components selected from the IIA group, the VIII group, the IB group and the IIB group. In terms of elements and based on the carrier, the content of silicon is 0.3-3.5 wt%, and the content of the divalent metal components is 0.2-2.0 wt%. Compared with the prior art, the catalyst provided in the invention has high wear resistance, and also has high activity and selectivity at the same time.
