The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly mixing aromatic oil and asphalt raw materials to form matrix asphalt; secondly preparing a modified polymer by using star-type SBS rubber and polyethylene, adding diatomite to the modified polymer to form a compound modified polymer, adding the compound modified polymer to the matrix asphalt, and performing high-speed shear mixing at a high temperature, wherein the high temperature and low temperature resistances and the aging resistance of the asphalt are improved; after the initially modified asphalt is cooled, heating the initially modified asphalt, and simultaneously adding wood fibers or polyester fibers to the initially modified asphalt so as to improve the abrasion resistance of the asphalt; when the asphalt is gradually cooled, adding mica powder and calcium borate to the asphalt, stirring, cooling to 80-100 DEG C, and adding polybrominated cyclodecane, silicone resin and hydrated alumina to improve the flame retardancy and smoke suppression of the asphalt; finally adding a cationic emulsifier and an ammonium chloride stabilizer. Therefore, the surface property of the asphalt is improved, and the asphalt pavement and the later maintenance of the paveement are facilitated.

By adopting the method, the conversion rate of dicyclopentadiene can reach 99% or above, and the selectivity of tricyclodecane dicarboxylic acid can reach 90% or above.
