Method and apparatus for controlling and protecting pulsed high power fiber amplifier systems

An electronic circuit for controlling a laser system consisting of a pulse source and high power fiber amplifier is disclosed. The circuit is used to control the gain of the high power fiber amplifier system so that the amplified output pulses have predetermined pulse energy as the pulse width and repetition rate of the oscillator are varied. This includes keeping the pulse energy constant when the pulse train is turned on. The circuitry is also used to control the temperature of the high power fiber amplifier pump diode such that the wavelength of the pump diode is held at the optimum absorption wavelength of the fiber amplifier as the diode current is varied. The circuitry also provides a means of protecting the high power fiber amplifier from damage due to a loss of signal from the pulse source or from a pulse-source signal of insufficient injection energy.

A bumper system includes an injection molded energy absorber of polymeric material having hollow longitudinally-spaced lobes configured to crush and absorb energy during a pedestrian impact, and straps interconnecting adjacent lobes. The lobes are particularly sized and dimensioned, including potentially external ribs and / or apertures in corners, to provide a relatively uniform impact energy absorption during an impact stroke during crush of the shear walls of the lobes, such as within + / −30% or more preferably within + / −20% of a desired amount regardless of a specific location of impact, along a selected center portion of the energy absorber. A reason for the uniformity is to promote pedestrian safety regardless of the specific location where a pedestrian's leg strikes the energy absorber.

The plurality of channels is configured to sustain substantial vertical loading and controllably deform under a predetermined threshold lateral crush load. The invention discloses a zero DC voltage fault ride-through control method of a multilevel modular converter (MMC) under an asymmetric state of bridge arm parameters. Sub-modules in the MMC all employ full-bridge sub-modules, an auxiliary loop is added among bridge arms of the same DC bus side to build a new topology, energy equalization of three upper bridge arms and energy equalization of three lower bridge arms are maintained when the auxiliary circuit among the bridge arm works during the zero DC voltage fault ride-through process, all modular voltages are integratedly equalized by adjusting voltage deviation among the upper bridge arms and the lower bridge arms, a fault current is enabled to be eliminated during the zero DC voltage fault ride-through process of the MMC, reactive power support is continued to be provided for an AC system, and the energy equalization of the sub-modules is maintained particularly when the bridge arm parameters of the MMC are asymmetric. By the topology and the control method thereof, the voltage deviation caused by asymmetric bridge arm parameters can be jointly borne by the six bridge arms, the integral energy equalization is maintained, a short-circuit current is limited to a low level, and zero DC voltage fault ride-through is achieved.

Method and device for automatically equalizing voltages of power battery groups

The invention discloses a method and device for automatically equalizing voltages of power battery groups. Each single battery of the serially connected power battery groups is connected with an electronic switch, the serially connected power battery groups are connected with a charge-discharge circuit through the electronic switches, and the voltages of the serially connected power battery groups are compared by detecting voltages at two ends of each single battery in real time; a first electronic switch connected with the first single battery is switched on when the voltage of the first single battery is larger than that of a second single battery, and the first electronic switch of the first single battery is switched off after the first single battery charges the charge-discharge circuit; and a second electronic switch connected with the second single battery is switched on, and the charge-discharge circuit charges the second single battery, thus the voltages of the first single battery and the second single battery are equalized, and all the processes are sequentially repeated till the voltages of all the single batteries of the serially connected power battery groups are equalized. According to the method and device for automatically equalizing the voltages of the power batter groups, disclosed by the invention, direct equalization between the high-voltage single batteries and the low-voltage single batteries is realized in the serially connected power battery groups in short time.

The invention discloses an equalization management system and method for a nondestructive lithium battery. The equalization management system for the nondestructive lithium battery comprises at least two battery modules, wherein each module comprises a single battery, an equalizing circuit and a single chip microcomputer; and the single chip microcomputer is connected with the single battery and the equalizing circuit and used for obtaining the voltage of the single battery and the information of the equalizing circuit so as to provide relevant control and protection. An equalization management module is connected with the single chip microcomputer and used for generating a reference signal according to the voltage of the single battery provided by the single chip microcomputer. The single chip microcomputer in each battery module controls the equalizing circuit to equalize the single battery according to the reference signal, and the equalizing circuit shunts or additionally discharges the single battery which needs to be equalized, so as to achieve equalization. Meanwhile, the energy can be recycled, the system efficiency is improved, and the power consumption is reduced. The battery equalization management system and method disclosed by the invention are applicable to various working conditions of a battery pack and have the characteristics of simple and modular structure, strong practicability and energy recovery.
