Modular waste water treatment system

The modular waste water treatment system receives waste water from a waste water source containing organic waste and produces a treated water effluent. The modular system includes bioreactors and a bioreactor support module. The bioreactors receive a waste water mixture from the bioreactor support module and produce treated water substantially free of organic waste. The bioreactor support module is a transportable unit fabricated upon a frame adapted for transport by a truck upon a public roadway. The bioreactor support module includes items of equipment needed for conditioning waste water for intake by the bioreactors, items of equipment for receiving, processing and discharging treated water from the bioreactors and may include other items of equipment for receiving and processing other byproducts from the bioreactors. The transportable bioreactor support module is sized to support the operation of between one and preferably as many as six bioractors. Accordingly, the modular waste water treatment system can be fabricated off site in a controlled shop environment, transported to a site, placed at a site and even later expanded to include additional bioreactors for increased capacity with a minimum of cost, time and effort.

A femoral stem 2 for artificial hip joint is provided that is capable of tightly fixing a greater trochanter and is suitable for treatment of transcervical fracture where it is necessary to fix the greater trochanter. The femoral stem 2 comprising: a stem member 20 including a distal part 21 of the stem member which is inserted in a medullary cavity of a femur and fixed therein and a proximal part 22 of the stem member which has a neck 26 for fixing an artificial head and is positioned at a proximal end of the distal part, the distal part and the proximal part being integrated or separable; a plate fixing portion 36 which is detachably attached at a top of the proximal part; and a greater trochanter plate 3 for depressing the greater trochanter 71, the greater trochanter being fixed to the plate fixing portion 36 at a certain angle or fixed to the plate fixing portion so as to adjust an angle. Since the greater trochanter plate 3 is fixed onto the femoral stem 2 of the present invention, the greater trochanter is tightly fixing and thus the fixation can be stabilized. Furthermore, since the greater trochanter plate 3 is fixed at the top of the proximal part 22, the greater trochanter plate 3 covers the top of the greater trochanter 71 when the greater trochanter 71 is fixed. Therefore upward displacement of the greater trochanter by a gluteus medius musculus can be effectively suppressed.

Method for extracting amylase from liquorice and application thereof

The invention discloses a method from extracting amylase from liquorice and application thereof. The method comprises the following steps: a. dried liquorice is ground; b. the ground liquorice is put into an extraction tank, petroleum ether is added for reflowing and degreasing, and then filtered out to obtain degreased residue; c. the residue is added with distilled water for extraction in normal termperature, repeatedly poached and extracted for three times, and triple extraction solutions are combined; d. the extraction solution is decompressed and concentrated to cause the volume of the solution to be the liquorice powder in the step a, thus obtaining a concentrated solution; e. a concentrated solution is added into the concentrated solution in the step d, and then the concentrated mixed solution stands overnight and precipitates; f. the concentrated mixed solution is centrifugalized to obtain the precipitation, dried, and then washed with absolute ethyl alcohol, acetone and aether after is extracted by a Sevag method; g. semi-permeable membrane with the interception molecular weight of 1000-10000 is used for dialyzing in water, the liquorice amylase is obtained by freezing and drying. The liquorice amylase is applied to the preparation of medicine treating or preventing osteoarthritis. The liquorice amylase has definite active ingredient, definite healing effect and no toxic side effect and the extraction method is easy to be implemented.
