A device for determining a reproduction position of a source of sound for audio-visual reproduction of a film scene from a plurality of individual pictures with regard to a reproduction surface having a predetermined width and a projection source having a projection reference point comprises means for providing a recording position of the source of sound, a camera position during recording, and an aperture angle of the camera during recording. In addition, provision is made of means for transforming the recording position of the source of sound to a camera coordinate system, the origin of which is defined, in relation to a camera aperture, to obtain a recording position of the source of sound in the camera coordinate system. Means for calculating the reproduction position of the source of sound in relation to the projection reference point determines whether the aperture angle of the camera equals a predetermined aperture angle, and whether or not a source of sound is located within the visual range of the camera. If the current aperture angle of the camera differs from the predetermined standard aperture angle, the reproduction position of the source of sound is spaced toward a viewer, or away from the viewer, by a distance which depends on the ratio of the standard aperture angle to the current aperture angle. Hereby, automatable sound-source positioning is achieved so as to provide not only a visually realistic, but also an acoustically realistic situation in a reproduction room using wave-field synthesis methods.

The OFDM signal includes a first preamble signal including subcarriers, and a second preamble signal including subcarriers of which the spacing is narrower than the spacing of the subcarriers included in the first preamble signal. The second preamble signal includes pilot signals which are known signals located at intervals of a predetermined number of subcarriers. The processing block detects the carrier shift amount using a correlation of the subcarriers included in one such second preamble signal.

Speech Model-Based Neural Network-Assisted Signal Enhancement

Several embodiments of a digital speech signal enhancer are described that use an artificial neural network that produces clean speech coding parameters based on noisy speech coding parameters as its input features. A vocoder parameter generator produces the noisy speech coding parameters from a noisy speech signal. A vocoder model generator processes the clean speech coding parameters into estimated clean speech spectral magnitudes. In one embodiment, a magnitude modifier modifies an original frequency spectrum of the noisy speech signal using the estimated clean speech spectral magnitudes, to produce an enhanced frequency spectrum, and a synthesis block converts the enhanced frequency spectrum into time domain, as an output speech sequence. Downhole clock synchronization apparatus and methods for use in a borehole drilling environment

Geophysical measurement system employed during the drilling of a well borehole. The system employs a reference clock disposed within equipment at the surface of the earth and a borehole assembly which houses a downhole clock and at least one sensor. The borehole assembly is operationally connected to a drill string, which advances the borehole. At least one synchronization shuttle apparatus containing a shuttle clock is conveyed downhole to the borehole assembly to synchronize the borehole clock with the reference clock. Reference and borehole clock synchronization is maintained at one millisecond or less over a period of days. Outputs from the reference clock and borehole clock and sensor are combined to obtain a measure of a geophysical parameter of interest. Although the measurement system is particularly applicable to seismic-while-drilling measurements, it can be used in a wide variety of clock driven geophysical measurements.

An injection point not covered by the SiN film of the interpoly dielectric is formed on the top of the floating gate. Thereby the present invention can not only achieve self-alignment to form the control gate and apply to high-integration memory cells with small areas, but also can release electrons from the floating gate to the control gate by the FN tunneling effect to effectively increase efficiency of erasing data and reliability of devices.
